this i my 2nd miele, the last one expired after 20 years. the operation has improved on this model which is essentially the successor of my previous one. It is quieter, and has an indicator when the bag is full. Only disappointment is the floor cleaning attachment has becoming nothing more than a molded plastic funnel. The prior model is a far more substantial and works better. Otherwise, from all i have read this one should last another twenty years. makes the price reasonable when compared to the competition.
