The Napoleon Electric Fireplace Heater with Logs, also known as the Napoleon EF30, adds attractive design and instant warmth to your home, office, salon, or spa. Tinted reflection panels provide an open view of the fire and give the illusion of a deeper, larger firebox. With a modern frame in a pewter finish, this fireplace is the perfect focal point for any room décor or space floor plan. The Napoleon electric fireplace heater can be installed in dry wall, your existing fireplace, or a mantel.
This electric wall-mount fireplace combines a realistic log ember bed and advanced flame technology. The Napoleon EF30 features seven distinct flame effects that can be used with or without heat. When operating with heat, the Napoleon’s Whisper Quiet fan distributes 5,000 BTUs of heat throughout your space, providing a warm, comfortable environment.
This Napoleon fireplace is loaded with options while maintaining simple operation. The electric heater plugs into a 120-volt standard household outlet and can be controlled manually or from a distance. A convenient remote control allows you to operate the Napoleon electric fireplace, choose your preferred heat level, and adjust the flame effect and ember bed brightness. For optimal comfort, the electric fireplace heater has a built-in thermostat to ensure your space is always warm and inviting.
Additional benefits of the Napoleon Electric Fireplace with Logs include:
Napoleon electric fireplace heaters feature advanced flame technology. Modeled after a true burning fire, this function reflects a superior flame image. The flame appearance has seven different effects you can adjust with the press of a button. Just press the up or down button surrounding the flame icon on the remote control to increase or decrease the flame height and intensity. In addition, this option also modifies the ember bed brightness. Plus, your electric fireplace comes with four extra light bulbs, two for the ember bed and two for flame generation. The halogen light bulbs last roughly 1,800 hours each to keep your flame bright and your ember bed glowing for an additional six months.
When operating in heater mode, the EF30 electric fireplace emits 5,000 BTU’s of heat through the vents located in the middle of the top louver panel. The fireplace LED light, located in the center of the manual panel on the heater, displays a corresponding color for every heat level each time the manual TEMP button is pressed or when the temperature is changed from the remote. The green light indicates low heat, orange indicates medium heat, and red indicates high heat. The ember bed and flame are set to high and the fireplace heater turned off in the default configuration.
This Napoleon fireplace heater is equipped with a thermal sensor that maintains a warm and cozy room temperature. The built-in thermostat has pre-set points for each heat level for maximum temperature control. The default heat settings are as follows: low heat is set at 61 degrees Fahrenheit, medium heat is set at 72 degrees Fahrenheit, and high heat is set at 82 degrees Fahrenheit. If the room temperature drops below the pre-set temperature, the electric fireplace will turn on automatically so you can stay comfortable throughout the night. The heater fan will also stop cycling once the temperature reaches the pre-set level and will resume operation once the room cools down.
Thermal sensor installation comes standard and is plugged into the fireplace next to the main power cord. Position the thermal sensor anywhere in the room within the length of the sensor wire. Place the sensor away from the fireplace to avoid unwanted cycling of the heater fan. This sensor has no user-set temperature levels. The firebox is also pre-wired for wall-mount thermostat installation.
The Napoleon Electric Fireplace with Logs is configured for dry wall or mantel installation. For dry wall installation, the wall behind the fireplace must be insulated. For optimal performance, choose a location that is not susceptible to moisture. The Napoleon EF30 electric fireplace can also be installed with an existing fireplace mantel or you can construct a new mantel using the guidelines in the owner’s manual. The paint or finish used on the mantel must be heat resistant to prevent discoloration.
The EF30 electric fireplace can also be hardwired into existing electrical work. This method of installation requires a qualified electrician to remove the cord connection and wire the fireplace directly to your household wiring. If hardwired, the electric fireplace must be electrically connected and grounded in accordance with local codes.
The firebox can also fit into your existing fireplace for easy setup. Just clean out the fireplace and hearth area, position the unit inside, and plug into a nearby grounded outlet. In any installation, the fireplace vents and air openings must remain uncovered and the firebox must remain removable from the enclosure. Follow all national and local electrical codes to avoid a fire hazard.

Comments about Napoleon Electric Fireplace Heater with Logs EF30:
We put this fireplace in the living room at camp. It changed the looks of the whole room, for the better. It's just so amazing to sit by the fire, wheather you use the heat or no heat. The flames are so realistic. The good thing about it is it has its own thermostat. When it gets to a certain temperature the heat will shut off. I would now like to purchase one for our home.
