Nilfisk GM80 Industrial Vacuum Cleaner

Compact, portable, and powerful—the Nilfisk GM80 Industrial Vacuum helps rid your environment of hazardous dust and debris while protecting the quality and health of your indoor air. Designed for industrial use, lead abatement, and contamination control, both the Nilfisk GM 80 and GM80i vacuums feature a large 3.25-gallon total tank capacity and accommodate Nilfisk's 2.25-gallon dry collection dust bags. Multi-stage HEPA filtration, a compact design, and a heavy-duty trolley make both vacuums ideal for fast, effective, and extremely mobile vacuuming in industrial environments.

Four-Stage Filtration

When you're vacuuming a sensitive environment, the last thing you want is to risk releasing harmful airborne particles and pollutants back into your environment through the system's exhaust. That's why the Nilfisk GM80 Vacuum is equipped with a robust, four-stage filtration system to ensure that your vacuum's exhaust—and your environment—remain clean. This four-stage system includes:

• Filtering Dust Bag – Nilfisk synthetic dust bags collect most of the large dust particles and debris you encounter for simple disposal. Smaller particles, such as fine dust and allergens, move through the dust bag to be caught by the remaining filters.


• Main Filter – This oversized filter maintains a steady, even airflow to prolong the life of the remaining filters and to ensure optimal vacuum and filtration performance. The filter retains 99.8% of particles as small as 0.3 microns and should be replaced when you notice a loss of suction.


• Micro-Filter – Both the Nilfisk GM80 and Nilfisk GM80i vacuums feature optional polyester micro-filters designed to protect the vacuum motor and filter out microscopic particles, such as bacteria. This filter is efficient in retaining 99.5% of particles greater than 0.2 microns in size and should be replaced when you notice a discoloration of the material.


• HEPA Filter – As the final and most effective stage of filtration, the GM-80's HEPA filter captures 99.97% of particles sized down to 0.3 microns, which often include the most toxic and hazardous dusts in your environment. Each Nilfisk HEPA filter is individually tested to meet these efficiency specifications. Typically, the HEPA filter should be replaced with every fourth change of the micro-filter.

Both the GM80 and GM80i vacuums can be upgraded to use an ULPA, or Ultra Low Penetration Air, filter. The tightly woven ULPA filter (sold separately) can filter 99.999% of particles as small as 0.12 microns in size and lasts approximately 1,000 hours, depending on use. This filter is especially beneficial for maintaining a clean, contaminant-free environment in cleanrooms and other sensitive spaces.

Nilfisk GM 80 Vacuum vs. Nilfisk GM80i Vacuum

The Nilfisk GM80i differs from the standard Nilfisk GM80 platform because of its heavier-duty accessories and attachments. Mounted on a fixed trolley for extreme portability (the standard GM80 has a detachable trolley), the GM80i goes where you need it to during any given cleaning task. The GM80i platform also swaps out the GM80's 6.5-foot plastic hose for a 6.5-foot neoprene hose that adds durability. Additionally, with its standard curved steel suction tool, the Nilfisk GM80i provides more cleaning reach and suction power in smaller spaces, such as corners and crevices. EPA RRP-Compliant

If you are a contractor, the Nilfisk GM80 and GM80i Vacuums can help you comply with the EPA's Lead Renovation, Repair, and Painting rule. In addition to using a HEPA filter, these vacuums can accommodate a turbo floor nozzle with beater bar to improve lead dust removal on carpeting. The Nilfisk Turbo Floor Nozzle – Part # 56649625 (sold separately) works to dislodge heavy lead particulates that may have accumulated in carpet fibers overtime. Using a HEPA vacuum like the GM 80 equipped with a floor nozzle that features a beater bar when cleaning carpeting is required to remain EPA RRP-compliant.
