Odor & Chemical Control – Air Purifiers
With today’s ever-increasing levels of insulation in home and office construction, much less air is exchanged with the outside. As such – odors and chemical vapors can build up inside your indoor environment. An odor can simply be an annoyance or can significantly affect your quality of life. Similarly, chemical off-gassing from polyurethane floors, from fresh paints, plastics, or from new building materials can also irritate.
When looking for an air purifier to assist with this type of problem – look for a unit with a large amount of carbon. This material acts to absorb the gases and odors from the air. Typically the larger the amount of carbon in the unit – the more odors and chemical vapors the unit can remove from the air before the filter will need to be replaced.
Some units will also feature additional enhancements to purify your air of particulates (dust, pollen, mold spores, etc.) while also cleaning your air of odors & chemicals.
