The Oransi v-hepa Finn UV Air Purifier uses advanced filtration technology to create allergen-free air with each pass. The Finn's filtration system consists of:
- Titanium Dioxide Pre-Filter – Upon entering the unit, air moves through a titanium dioxide-coated pre-filter where large airborne particles are captured and contained and light smoke, odor-causing compounds, and volatile organic compounds (VOCs) are absorbed. We purchased this purifier for our son's dorm room as he is having congestion problems living in a new location. It is very quiet on 1 and 2, and actually on 3 it is not loud....no louder than an air conditioner! Some people had posted having trouble getting it to run after removing the plastic from the filter and closing the cover but we didn't have any problems...it started right up! We let it run for a day before giving it to him as it did smell "plastic" at first but the smell went away. The light on the top is bright for a bedroom, so we just put a cloth over it at night. The controls are very easy to operate and very easy to find. The design of this purifier are great for a dorm or bedroom. It is tall and thin, and takes up very little space. It puts out a lot of air! He has had good results so far, waking up with less congestion. We are excited to see the long-term results. This unit also had a light to help kill bacteria and viruses...a real plus for a dorm room!! We found the cost to be very good compared to other units/brands of equal size. Also, the reviews from a science viewpoint were very reasuring when purchasing something like this from a health standpoint. We actually hated to have to give this one to our son, so I guess we will be getting our own! One other plus for this unit is the ability to clean the filters yourself with your vaccuum cleaner! Some of the other units had very expensive filters to purchase. This one even came with two extra filters for the back of the unit. This gets 5 stars in our book!

It has been most benificial for me in my bedroom to help with allergies. However, I wish I had one in every room of the house they are so good. I bought two for my daughter and she is also enjoying them as much as I am. Her son is a smoker and that really helps rid of the smell and they all have allergies as well which has proved extremely helpful. I highly recommend these. I have had other types in the past but these are by far the best.

I purchased this as it was rated on several sites for its good combination of function and low maintenance cost. I was not disappointed! I admit I have a small apartment and I move the air filter from room to room but it really does a great job. I leave it on a low setting overnight in my bedroom and I don't wake up stuffy or itchy throat as I have fairly bad allergies. Highly recommended.

My boyfriend sneezes A LOT in the springtime. (Like, a LOT.) So I bought the Oransi v-hepa Finn in hopes that it would alleviate some of his symptoms. We placed it in the middle of our living room, which is about 220 square feet. I can definitely tell a difference when it's NOT running, because that seems to be when he does the most sneezing!
I also like running it when I'm cleaning, so any dust that get knocked into the air gets purified. Take that, dust!
Overall, this is a great air purifier for SMALLER rooms. It's extremely QUIET, easy-to-use, and attractive. About as good as it gets for this price range.
A couple things I would point out:
-If you don't maintain it, it won't work as well as it can. You HAVE to clean the pre-filter (I vacuum mine once a month) and change the HEPA filter (every 1-2 years). Also, make sure dust doesn't collect on the back of the unit. Just wipe it down when you start to see dust build up back there.
-If you have SEVERE allergies, or you want an air purifier that's going to get rid of ALL the dust in your home, it's going to cost more than $329. Also, keep in mind that no air purifier can dust your furniture for you. But good ones will snatch up a lot of that dust before it settles (like this one, when used correctly). That means you won't have to dust quite as often - and come on, who doesn't love that?

I purchased this air filter after having a mysterious cough which became beyond annoying as it got worse during the night and would keep me up. I'm a grad student and I recently moved into my grandmother's home, built circa 1950, as it it free living but the house is old, full of mold, and also inhabited by little terrier whom suffers from dry skin (pet dander). In edition to these factors, allergy season in NC is about to ensue. With this said I had to make a decision. I wanted a good air purifier but I could not afford anything super expensive. This filter is awesome! I stopped coughing literally 2 days after starting use. There is also a world of difference in smell of my room from the rest of the house. No dog smell. Just clean air. I further realized how great this device is, as I attempted to sleep in a different room last night which proved impossible when I started hacking up a lung around 2am. Back to my room and my Orsnai I went and immediately stopped coughing. GREAT PRODUCT! GREAT PRICE! Oh yeah, free and speedy shipping. I have no complaints.

I use the air filter in my bedroom and it's so quiet that I let it run all night. I originally purchased the air filter for a mold problem in a basement apartment, and the whole place smells better since I've started using the filter. Previously, I was waking up in the morning with allergy symptoms but am no longer having this problem. I'm not sure if this is entirely due to the filter since I also made changes in the apartment to clean up the mold at the same time. My only complaint is the blue LED light on the front of the filter. If there's some way to turn this off, I haven't figured it out. The light is rather bright and casts a blue glow in my bedroom, so I've covered it with duct tape to block the light.

We love this product. It has a small foot print and is quiet - almost silent at lower speeds. It is more than an air purifier; it kills bacteria and provides the proper ionization levels for healthy living. We bought one for the living room. We plan to buy another one for the bedroom.
When I checked with my allergist for a recommendation, she said that we buy one with a hepa filter and one that allowed us to remove the filters with ease. Our new air purifier has a door which easily opens to immediately reveal both filters.
This product was more expensive than some others listed but well worth it.
