These units heat using kerosene, natural gas, butane, or propane and feature poles that measure from 3- to 7-feet high. Generally, you can expect these outdoor heaters to warm a 20-foot-diameter area about 10 degrees. Many of them feature safety controls like tilt protection switches, open flame controls, emergency shutoff valves, and more.
