Package Terminal Air Conditioners, or PTACs, are commercial grade air conditioners installed through a wall. Commonly found in hotels, PTACs are capable of cooling and heating spaces of nearly any size. They're built with durable parts to hold up against outdoor environmental conditions and are designed for quick, convenient cooling and heating. Most PTACs let you set your ideal temperature and other settings to ensure entire room comfort.
While PTAC air conditioning units are popular in the hospitality industry, they're also used in sun rooms, offices, and assisted living facilities. PTACs are commonly placed through an external wall right above the floor and often under a window.
A wall sleeve and external grille must be purchased separately if you're using a PTAC for new construction. If you're simply replacing an old or outdated unit, you may be able to use your existing sleeve and grille depending upon their size and condition.
The most important considerations when buying a Packaged Terminal Air Conditioner are the cooling size (measured in BTUs) and plug type/electrical requirements. Confirm the cooling capacity is large enough to adequately cool your space, but don't buy a unit that's too large. You'll waste energy and your AC won't properly remove moisture from your space if it's too powerful for your room. Also, make sure your room is wired for the correct plug type, voltage, and amperage used specifically by your PTAC model.
Whether you need a PTAC to cool a small hotel room or a larger model for a suite, we have various PTAC units available for you. Use the filters on the left to search by cooling capacity, brand, and price.
