I selected the middle choice for a rating because a selection was required. I have no frame of reference as I have not used any other steamer. I bought this product over others because, after reading several reviews, the general consensus was that this one has the guts to get the job done whereas the reviews of the competing products seem to all complain of not having sufficient heat.
In the past few weeks I have had the opportunity to put it to some good use. I work in a medical supply company that rents out medical pumps to pharmacies that use them to fill IV bags with TPN solutions. Prior to bringing them back into our "Clean Room" for maintenance, we are required to clean and sterilize the pumps. I find that the steamer is invaluable at ridding the machines of caked-on aminosine and dextrose residue. Other methods previously used often resulted in faded or scratched surfaces. I also have discovered that the device also does a fabulous job at removing stickers. Goo-Gone only works once the sticker is removed but getting to that point is the the problem. I used the steamer to remove a 20 year old window sticker in less than 5 minutes, a job that would have taken over a half hour of hard scraping with a razor.

It does a very good job of cleaning. I have used it on kitchen counters, toilet seats, floor in front of toilets, baseboards {excellent}. BUT, the reservoir does not hold enough water. The steam stops long before the job is finished. THAT is the drawback and the disappointment.
