The All Cotton Mattress
At the center of each Cotton Mattress is the Swiss-designed "Royal Flex" support system. Made from double-tempered, heavy-gauge wire (14.5 gauge), this innerspring unit was built with durability in mind. Heavy duty materials and a high coil count provides comfortable body contouring with no sag. This innerspring unit also includes T-spring side supports, giving you supported comfort from edge-to-edge. The Royal Flex support system is then enclosed in:
- Generous-layers of durable, healthy staple cotton padding - The all natural, unbleached cotton padding in a Royal Pedic mattress is far superior to the polyurethane foam which is often used in lesser quality mattresses. Not only does polyurethane foam emit petrochemical vapors that can adversely affect sensitive people, but it also tends to break down within a few years, leading to mattress sag. Cotton padding, however, will not decompose or lose it's shape and will provide years of long-lasting support. Royal Pedic cotton padding is hand-tufted to the innersprings with European tufting straps to perfectly compresses the staple cotton - providing increased back support while keeping the cotton in firmly in place.
- A luxurious natural Belgian cotton cover - The quality of the Belgian cotton ticking completes the luxurious feel of this mattress. Natural cotton promotes body heat ventilation to keep you extra comfortable all night long.
Optional Pillowtop for Extra Cushioning
To add increased cushion to the All Cotton Mattress, Royal Pedic offers an optional detached pillowtop mattress pad. This mattress pad is simply placed on top of the mattress (it will not slide due to weight and cotton materials used) and underneath the fitted sheet. This pillowtop adds to the luxurious feel of the mattress and also provides additional comfort for shoulder and hip pressure points. The added softness of the pillowtop, however, does not decrease the benefits of the firm mattress; it only enhances the overall feel of the mattress. The pillowtop is constructed from untreated French lamb's wool, hypo-allergenic cotton fill, and a natural latex layer. The entire pillow is encased in the same glorious Belgian cotton fabric as the mattress.
