This American-made horizontally designed unit (model # 4025699) shares the same efficiency and reliability as the upright stand-alone Santa Fe units. The only real difference lies in its unique design, which allows the unit to be conveniently placed inside height-restricted spaces.
Under ideal conditions the Santa Fe Advance can cover as much as 2200 square feet, eliminating over 90 pints per day at AHAM and 180 pints at saturation. However, when it comes to large spaces, it's best to get a consultation on your specific environment. Please call our product experts at (800) 934-9194 for a free profile and recommendation.

How It Works
This high-efficiency residential dehumidifier utilizes refrigeration to cool the incoming air stream below its dew point as it passes through the dehumidification (evaporator) coil. This cooling results in the removal of moisture (latent heat) and reduction of the temperature (sensible heat). The cooled and dried air is used to pre-cool the incoming air stream resulting in up to a 200% increase in overall efficiency. After the pre-cooling stage, the processed air is reheated by passing through the condenser coil. The latent heat removed by the evaporator coil is then returned to the air stream as sensible heat, resulting in an overall increase in temperature from the incoming air.
Designed To Fit Your Needs
The unique design of the crawl-space Advance offers you several options, as you have the ability to place it in a finished basement, unfinished basement, or simply on open dirt/earth in a crawl space; with such a small physical profile, you can easily set the unit up wherever you need. If you choose to place the unit on open ground, it is good to put plastic down across the whole surface area, which will provide additional moisture insulation for your space and allow the system to work even more effectively.
The unit comes with four removable legs (a new feature) that can be adjusted to level the machine in the space.

Temperature Operation
This Santa Fe system is designed to run efficiently in temperatures between 55°F and 95°F, which typically include lower temperatures found in basements and crawl spaces.
Humidity
When appropriately sized, this system will maintain the EPA recommended relative humidity of 45% to 50% — ideal conditions for an odor free, dry comfortable living and storage space. This unit is able to eliminate over 90 pints of water per day at AHAM and 180 pints at saturation.
|
Special Features
This commercial-grade, ultra-efficient system stands far above its competitors when it comes to the amount of water it can absorb from the air at the least cost to you. It comes with a number of specially designed features:
- A separate fan control allows for continuous fan operation, or operation only when the unit is actively removing moisture from the air.
- A humidity control knob allows unit to turn on and off automatically to maintain the humidity level that is ideal for your environment.
- Washable pre-filter.
- Pleated air filter for finer particle removal.

|
Filter
The Santa Fe has a standard filter that helps to reduce the amount of dirt and particles that can get into the machine. This filter should be changed between 6 months and a year, depending on how polluted it becomes.
Ducting
This unit can be used in some situations where ducting the unit is required. Ducting might be needed to increase the circulation of the air by placing one or two ducts to remote areas of the space being dehumidified. However, this unit is not easily connected to a remote humidistat so it is recommended this unit be located in the area being dehumidified.

Condensate Pump Option
If the gravity drain isn’t a possible option for eliminating the collected water, a condensation pump kit is available. This unit is easily adaptable to use a condensate pump, and this will give you the option of running the drain hose up and out a window or around a doorway to your yard or garden. These pumps are energy efficient as well and work with a flow switch that allows the pump only to run when needed.

ENERGY STAR Rated
These units are Energy Star rated, meaning they are an energy efficient choice that is good for your finances and for the environment. Products labeled ENERGY STAR have the special distinction of being high energy-saving appliances that don't sacrifice performance, style, or quality. Choosing an ENERGY STAR product means you get the results you want without creating pollution or consuming excess energy. |
Furthermore, the Santa Fe line of units are the most energy efficient units of all Energy Star-rated dehumidifiers as confirmed on our May 2005 specifications chart comparing all Energy Star units. As such, these units will cost less to run per pint of water removed from the air than any other units on the market.
