The American-made Santa Fe Impact XT Dehumidifier, Santa Fe's newest residential dehumidifier, stands far above its competition in moisture removal, ease of use, and energy efficiency. This Energy Star-qualified dehumidifier, also known as Santa Fe Model # 4032230, is considered the most energy-efficient, large-capacity residential dehumidifier on the market, exceeding Energy Star dehumidifier standards by 50%. Engineered for efficiency, eco-friendliness, and high capacity, the Santa Fe Impact eliminates problematic moisture and restores healthy indoor air quality while conserving your energy dollars.
The Santa Fe Impact XT works hard to stop damaging humidity in large crawl spaces and basements measuring up to 2,500 square feet. Under AHAM conditions—80 degrees F at 60% relative humidity—it removes 105 pints of moisture per day and an estimated 210 pints at saturation. Simple yet intuitive control features such as a humidity control dial with automatic humidity control, gravity drainage, independent fan control, automatic defrost, and automatic restart make this dehumidifier the ideal solution for controlling excess humidity in vulnerable crawl spaces and basements.
Why Dehumidify Your Crawl Space or Basement?
Indoor air quality studies show that as much as 50% of the air in your home travels up from your basement or crawl space. Because the air in these spaces is often higher in moisture content than the rest of your home, it can quickly become a breeding ground for symptom-triggering allergens such as mold and dust mites. Humid air also creates an ideal environment for pests and bacteria, spawn unpleasant musty odors throughout your space, and when left untreated, lead to costly infrastructure damage. The Santa Fe Impact Dehumidifier quickly puts an end to these issues, restoring healthy indoor air quality and paving the way for a healthier home.
Dual-Air Distribution - This patent-pending process means the dehumidifier distributes dehumidified air out from a vent located on both sides of the unit. This creates more balanced humidity and improves circulation of dehumidified air in your environment.
Humidity Control Dial - Easily adjust your desired humidity using the manual knob control. Humidity can be adjusted from as low as 20% to as high as 80%. As a rule of thumb, your basement or crawl space's optimal humidity level will typically be 50%.
Automatic Humidity Control - Once you have set your desired humidity, the Santa Fe Impact XT will dehumidify until the set humidity level is reached. The dehumidifier will then cycle on and off to maintain your desired humidity level. This helps further conserve energy and boost efficiency.
Gravity Drainage - When used in a standalone application, the Impact XT drains collected condensate via gravity. Simply attach the included 8-foot drain hose to the dehumidifier and route to a drain.
Setting Up a Drain Trap - Santa Fe recommends setting up a drain trap when installing any of its horizontal dehumidifiers, including the Impact XT. This prevents air from moving back up through the hose and backflowing water into the machine. It also prevents potential water leaks from the corners of each unit. It's easy to create a drain trap using the included drain hose or a separate PVC trap. Watch this video to learn more.
Flexible Fan Operation - An independent fan control switch allows for continuous fan operation—for comfortable air circulation all the time—or operation only when the dehumidifier is actively removing moisture from the air.
Low Temperature Operation - Unlike conventional dehumidifiers, the Santa Fe Impact operates effectively in temperatures as low as 56 degrees F. In temperatures below 56 degrees F, an onboard defrost system shuts down the compressor and quickly defrosts internal components to protect them from damage.
Automatic Restart - If there is a power outage, the Impact XT automatically restarts on the original setting when power is restored.
MERV-11 Air Filtration - The Santa Fe Impact XT Dehumidifier includes a MERV-11 pleated air filter that removes airborne allergens and other particles measuring down to 1 micron as air enters the unit. This helps the dehumidifier maintain its high level of efficiency and boosts your indoor air quality in your basement or crawl space.
Free Digital Humidity Gauge - This dehumidifier comes with a free digital humidity gauge by mail-in rebate.
Superior Energy Efficiency
The Santa Fe Impact XT Dehumidifier is Energy Star-qualified. This means it dehumidifies using at least 15% less energy than comparable non-Energy Star dehumidifiers. This benefit alone contributes to approximately $220 in savings over the operating life of the dehumidifier. The Santa Fe Impact gives you this benefit and takes your potential energy savings one step further.
Because the Impact XT is constructed with a more efficient compressor, refrigerator coils, and fan—and uses Santa Fe's ultra-efficient pre-cooling dehumidification technology—it dehumidifies at a higher Energy Factor. During operation, this dehumidifier removes 4.2 liters of moisture per kilowatt hour (L/kWh). This rating is equal to double the Energy Star program's minimum Energy Factor standard for residential dehumidifiers. In other words, the Santa Fe Impact exceeds Energy Star efficiency standards for dehumidifiers by 50%. It is the most energy-efficient dehumidifier on the market.
Customizable for Your Application
Like other Santa Fe dehumidifiers, the Santa Fe Impact XT Dehumidifier is customizable to suit your specific application and installation needs. Out of the box, the Impact can be operated as a standalone dehumidifier simply by plugging it into a 110/120-volt outlet and routing the gravity drainage hose to a nearby drain. This basement and crawl space dehumidifier also has the flexibility to support more extensive applications, including pump drainage and ducted airflow. Please note that when shopping for a dehumidifier for large spaces, it's often best to get a consultation for your specific environment. We're happy to help. Optional Condensate Pump
As an alternative to gravity drainage, an external condensate pump is available as an accessory for the Impact XT. Easy to setup and use, the optional condensate pump (sold separately) gives you the option of running the drain hose across longer distances to drain condensate in a more suitable location. You can also run the drain hose upward and out through a window, around to a doorway, or through a drilled hole to your yard or garden. For higher efficiency, the pump features a float switch that allows it to run only when needed.
Optional Ducting Accessories
Optional ducting accessories are also available for the Santa Fe Impact Dehumidifier. You might prefer to duct your dehumidifier if standalone operation is not possible or not practical. Ducting options include:
- Duct multiple rooms to allow air to flow easily back and forth between them.
- Duct the air from one room and direct the unit to discharge air into another room.
- Run ductwork to the edges of a crawl space to force air circulation.
