Keeps the vault room oder free and dry as a bone. Regular replacement of the filters is a must and the year supply kit makes it very easy to maintain. Filter change takes all of 15 seconds and while the unit is loud, for the performance it gives I will gladly accept the noise.

The box was damaged upon arrival, and two of the filters inside were also damaged.

The top screen was not the same quality as the original Santa Fe screen. It was thinner plastic and the screen material was much thinner than the original. The filters don't look like the original Santa Fe filters either.

What kind of filter is this? Will it filter mold spores?

This filter set includes 4 MERV-11 filters and 1 standard pre-filter for the Santa Fe Classic Dehumidifier. MERV-11 pleated filters are able to remove 85% of particles that that are 3 to 10 microns in size and larger—the typical size of mold spores and large dust particles—as well as 65 to 80% of particles measuring from 1 to 3 microns, the typical size of dust mites and finer dust particles. The pre-filter captures larger particles and helps extend the filtering life of the MERV-11 filter.

How often does the filter for the Santa Fe Classic need replacement under normal operating conditions?

Each filter lasts about 1 year.
