This is my second Ladybug steamer and an upgrade from an older model that didn't have the TANCS system. My somewhat hard well water and my lack of cleaning it as prescribed for 8 years did the old one harm. I could have repaired it but thought the tanks system was the element i was missing for a trouble free steamer. The tanks system is supposed to work with the minerals in the water to help clean.
I'm giving it only 4 stars because if I have maintenance issue i have to mail it for service, as I live in a rural area.
Before both ladybugs, I used to have a small wand type steamer 15 years ago and it had no temperature controls and unlike the ladybugs is was not a continuos fill. Which means you got about 15 minutes in your job and would have to quit and wait for it to cool before you could refill the hot tank. Most of those wand or hand held steamers don't hold enough water to get a large floor mopped or bathroom cleaned. This thing goes and goes, the tank is large and refillable while hot. With the 3 settings or bath the ladybugs you can work on many surface types without scorching or peeling paint etc...
The best of course is to mop all the floors super clean without chemicals. My second favorite task is because it is a life saver with pets. If you can get the pet mess in a timely manner, whether it be urine or vomit, it will easily clean the carpet spot without chemicals and does so better than any canned spot cleaner. And if you don't get to it in a timely matter you will be even more pleased you have a multitasking steamer. Every now and then for hardy pet stains you may have to add some cleaner but not often.
I use the Tekno for window blinds, walls, floors, bathroom tile, windows, stove, counters... you name it and if left in place for 8-10 the surface is sterile. One of the neat things it gets with a quick blast are the fasteners on the back end of the toilet seat where you normally need a toothbrush to get the crud out...this thing does it in a single quick burst of steam.
One must simply remember the steam loosens dirt so you do need to use a cloth to wipe away dirt. I have recently started using micro-fiber bootys from another steamer company for this steamer and it's much easier than attaching towels to the various attachments plus the micro fiber seems to pick up the dirt quicker.
I love this thing and would be lost with it. The thought of a dirty mop with smelly chemical water, well ugh. I feel like the ladybug gets everything cleaner and I like the wood handle and led warmup notes on the Tekno. It comes with attachments for nearly any job you can think of and the window attachment is a huge improvement over the older models. Using that and a couple wipes with a micro fiber cloth and even i can get a streak free window.
If you're considering a steamer for more than just floors I highly recommend the Ladybug steamers. It's more expensive but by the time you replace those cheaper models and wonder why those are either too hot or not hot enough and lack some of the attachments just go for the gusto and get the real thing. By the time you amortize the cost of it's use over the years you will probably find you saved money.

I've owned this product over a year. While this product is designed well and effectively cleans most surfaces its durability is poor. After a year of frequent use, the shell is cracking in multiple places. I've also noticed it cannot hold high pressures or temps. for more than a brief moment. A machine at this price should not drop nearly 30psi and 30 degrees after holding the trigger for more than 10 secs. Given the price of this machine I cannot deny that I am disappointed with its overall performance. I would not recommend paying nearly 2000 for this product. I gave it 2 stars due to its high price and poor durability in its shell and boiler performance.

I love using this machine to clean my bathroom. My favorite tool is the spray nozzle. It has a really small tip but it puts out a lot of steam. I use it to clean the tile grout and the corners of my tub. It gets all the dirt and grime I could never clean with cleaning spray and cheap plastic brush. I even use it on the floor edges where all kinds of trash ends up when I sweep or mop. I also like the small round brush because I was finally able to get my built in soap dish clean. I used it to scrub between the ridges and the grime came right off. All I need is faucet water and it gets hot really fast so I can clean in the morning before I leave for work. That kind of convenience is worth the money.

I'm obsessed with cleaning. I'm also very "green" and I hate using smelly (and probably toxic) sprays to clean my home. They don't really even do that great a job and if you read the labels closely, you'll see that sometimes you have to leave the cleaner on your surfaces for awhile in order for it to work correctly. I've had other less expensive steam cleaners before, but in my experience, they're not as durable, they would fall apart with the frequency I spent using them. I purchased the Ladybug Tekno after reading many reviews attesting to its effectiveness and years of durability. I use this steam cleaner everywhere, from my floors, to counters, to sinks, tubs, showers, refrigerator, sofas, mattress, and even the inside of my oven. I feel great knowing that I'm not adding potentially toxic substances into my environment and that I'm getting my home 100% clean.

I had been trolling the internet for quite awhile looking for a good way to clean my grout in my kitchen. Eventually, I ended up looking at vapor steam cleaners. I was looking at reviews of various cleaners and the ease in contacting the company. I ended up at this website and have been very glad this is where I stopped. I love my ladybug and I can't for the life of me picture me without her. I ordered this cleaner on Friday thinking it would be the following Friday before it arrived, but lo and behold it arrived the following Tuesday!! I have been steaming everything within my sight since I received this cleaner. By the way, this is a birthday present from my husband and it arrived 1 day before my birthday. We also got the trolley that comes with it and I am very pleased with it also. All my tools are within reach and I can clean each room very efficiently. I love the way I can steam my grout, then move on to the next room. The bathroom is a breeze now, I clean the mirrors, counters, shower, toilet and floors and am out of there in a fraction of the time it used to take me. I know I'm rambling, but there are not enough words to describe how wonderful this steamer is. I started out looking at the less expensive steamers and quickly realized that they just wouldn't hold up like the ladybug. Now that I have her, I don't have to worry about how long she'll last. Whatever you do, be sure to read all the reviews on the ladybug steamers. The owners are entirely correct in their praise. This is the ultimate steamer to have.

A number of members in my household, myself included, suffer from chemical allergies. I recently decided that we needed to do more to make our home healthier so we could reduce our symptoms. Once I began researching ways to live healthier and chemical-free I learned that steam cleaning is one huge way to reduce toxic chemicals in your home. After much consideration over what we could afford, our need, and the benefits we'd get (and reading probably hundreds of reviews) we decided to go with the Ladybug Tekno.
After using it for a few weeks, I noticed that my allergic symptoms were lessening, my home constantly smelled fresher, and my kids weren't complaining of headaches and sniffles each time I cleaned the house. With all the accessories, the long steam hose, and the steam handle that is adjustable, this little machine goes anywhere a bottle of Clorox and sponge can. And it won't leave smelly residue. I do wish it wasn't so pricey, this was a tough purchase to make. But after seeing all the benefits it has brought for myself, my family, and my home, it's worth it.
