I recently purchased this dehumidifier and am astounded at the difference it made even in the first days of use. Not only is the air noticeably drier in my main basement area, but the clothes I drip dry in the laundry room that is adjacent dry much faster. Additionally, the whole basement is more comfortable; even the closed-off utility and storage areas, as the chill has been cut as the dampness has been removed. I have more peace of mind about my paper and fabric craft items being stored down there now (since that's where my hobby area is).

The machine was easy to set up. It runs quietly enough for my needs. The electric motor does hum while it's running, but not loudly enough to be a problem. I don't have to turn up the tv or my music while I'm working right by it. The good thing about the noise it does make is that it's noticeable enough to tell when it's full and needs emptying. I will be adapting it soon to empty straight into a floor drain, and that connection looks straightforward(once I procure the bit of garden hose I'll need).

I am so glad I called Sylvane and spoke with the representative who answered my questions and helped me select the best machine for my situation and space.

It works! I have a lot of moisture in the basement (where I live). It arrived late in the afternoon, so I plugged it in and let it run all night and the next day. That evening I poured out almost a full bucket of water. It is a little louder than I wanted. It sounds like a bit louder than the bathroom fan. But I am used to hearing the furnace and air conditioner in the basement so what's another noise. I slept with it going so it's not unbearable. I left it on and collected another bucket full late the next day. Now I run it just when I'm gone and not everyday. My sheets and towels are back to normal - dry! I would recommend this one.

Thank you for the quick delivery of my dehumidifier. I unpacked it and following the directions set it up to begin it's job. As per your instructions it ran for 24 hours and significantly reduced the moisture in the air.

In trying to set up a program, I found the control panel not to be as user friendly as I would like or as easy as passed dehumidifiers had been.

Setting a program for example 3 hours on 1 hour off is difficult. I have read the directions several times to no avail.

my dehumidifier works awesome no problems. the only thing i can say bad about it is when you go to empty it, dont shut it off and remove bucket right away. it will leak for a min not much so wait five minutes then dump. other then that this product does what it says it does plus more!

This dehumidifier is very good. It seems well made, is fairly quiet and certainly pulls a lot of water out of the air. I had plumbed mine so I never have to empty it and thankfully it had been designed to allow this to be quite easy. I also like the reminder to clean the air filter; and, the filter itself is located on the front so it is very easy to do so.

The only negative for this unit can be applied to nearly every dehumidifier made today, it runs all the time. Today's designs keep the fan running constantly. Otherwise, very good product. Also, Sylvane was great. Product arrived in record time using free shipping, and was packaged extremely well.

This dehumidifier is exactly what we wanted; It works like a dream with minimal effort: just plug it in & set up the drainage; The controls are very intuitive, it is easy to dump the water over short distances since the bucket has a folding handle (perhaps not long ones as the bucket is a bit oddly shaped) & the filter is easily cleaned (with a light to remind you to do it). The basement (18' x 40') is completely dry when we run it (& also pretty cool during heat waves); We now use the Hartell Condensate Pump to automatically pump out the water from the continuous drain. Another effortless set-up, if a bit ugly; With the fan on turbo we can hear the dehumidifier through the wood floor of our basement if we try hard. On low, we don't hear anything. All in all, a great basement dehumidifier.

Overall, quite satisfied. Within 1 day of operation, noticable decrease in humidity level and damp smell was gone. The unit has now been operating for one month with no issues. The area covered is around 850sq. feet with entry via garage door.

Seems to work just as advertised. Have not previously owned a dehumidifier, so I don't have anything to compare it to. Using it in lower level, finished basement, and there is a noticeable difference in the humidity from before. Fan may run slightly louder than I'd prefer, but that probably should have been expected for the rating (area size it can handle) of machine. Have only had it for a short while, and thus far I'm satisfied.
