I was in need of a dehumidifier in very short order. Christmas was less than 10 days off an all of the many vendors I contacted in the Pittsburgh area neither had a dehumidifier with the features I wanted nor could promise that I could have one before the holiday. (After the holiday would not work since I was going to be traveling for a week after that.)

The unit with the features I wanted and needed was on the Sylvane website. It's price was better than any I had been quoted by the vendors who were willing to attempt to order one for me here in Pittsburgh. I placed my order with Sylvane and without paying for expedited shipping, the DeLonghi dehumidifier arrived in less than 3 days. I was extremely pleased with Sylvane's pricing and service.

The DeLonghi DD45P itself has been working great since I first plugged it in. I really appreciate the timer feature that allows me to determine both a desired humidifier level and to set the number of hours I'd like the unit to run per day. The pump and drain line feature saves me from worrying about watching the tank to determine when it needed to be emptied as well as allowing the unit to run without my attention when my family and I are not home. I can only speak for the first month of this unit's operation but it appears to be well constructed and made of quality materials. I expect that it will be a useful appliance for a long time.

I bought this to replace my 15 years old+ dehumidifier because the tenant threw out the bucket. This one is loud, very loud compare to the old one from another manufacturer. I bought this because of the pump feature. I should have bought it locally at least I could have return/exchange without the hassle of RMA shipping. I am quite sure why it's so loud (as another reviewer posted). New technology should be much better than technology 15 years ago.

Dehumidifier works great. I needed one that would work in colder temperatures and have no problems. It defrosts as needed and keeps right on going. Service was also great. Ordering was easy and I received the product in 4 days!

This is my second DeLonghi Dehumidifier. I use them to help reduce the humidity in our basement at our lake house. It works great. I am well satisfied and will purchase a third when the time comes.

I figure I saved about $80 because I did not have to buy an extra universal dehumidifier pump for the collection tank.

The unit was easy to install, just remove some tape and plug it in. The controls are bright and easy to see/read. Because they were mostly pictures and numbers I had no trouble understanding how to make it go. The tank filled quickly as the unit collected water and it was easy to dump the water out.

Later, I found an means to push the small pump hose outside my house and turn on the built-in pump, which is working perfectly to keep my basement dry and no buckets to empty!

I'm very happy with my purchase thus far, 30 days. I hope this unit is as well designed as I think and lasts me a long, long time!

I had a DeLonghi dehumidifier previously which worked quite well and then sprung a coolant leak. The repair shop spoke highly of DeLonghi's support for parts but it's obvious (as the old unit is in the repair shop for the third time) that DeLonghi's workmanship is somewhat cheap. The new DD45 removes water very well. I do not like the fact that they have removed the "beep" when the tank is full. I also do not like the new "tank" holding the water as it is very difficult to remove and empty. Otherwise the unit works well.

This product did a great job getting the moisture and musty smell out of our basement, but it was extremely loud. It sounds like the bathroom vent was on all night. If you like white noise, you'll love this. Also I will include the fact that it was to big for my space, so that may have added to the noise level.

I purchased this product for an apartment building. I cannot be there to drain the bucket and since the unit is occupied by students, I cannot depend on them to do this. The unit was easy to set up and very powerful. Within a very short period of time, I was able to see the water being extracted and pumped up to the drain. I intend to order another for my home. My only wish is that it would come in black or grey.
