I could have bought this hepa filter directly from IQAir, but why should I when I could get it cheaper from Sylvane, with free shipping. Most of important of all, their customer service is simply bar none. What more can I say?

The old IQAir filters lasted a pretty long time. I noticed that the new filters don't contain the extra foam/mesh filter before and after the HEPA filter -- I assume this was to catch all the carbon particles from the V5 filter? The last time I changed a filter, that blue foam stuff was pretty dark on the input side.

The new filter does not have that ... we'll see if that affects performance. It is not like we really have a choice once we've committed to the IQAir!
