The Soleus air dp2-45-03 is a big improvement over our old dehumidifier. It effectively dries out our small basement with crawl spaces. It does put out warm air with the fan but it helps keep the humidity down. We especially are impressed with how quiet it is. That was our top criteria for purchasing this unit. Also, there are 3 fan settings which increase it's versatility.

I own an old Soleus Air dehumidifier which is very quiet. That is why I bought this one. This one is about 3x louder than my old one (fan and compressor noise). It's on par with the noise from a window A/C unit.
