Purchased this unit to replace an old Kenmore that died. Located in basement of old house - stone foundation. About 200 ish square feet. Without dehumidification averages about 80% relative humidity measured with hygrometer. Kenmore would run continuously and keep it at about 60%. Soleus dropped humidity from 80% to 57% average in about a day and retains that level. Set to continuous on, but it does cycle off regularly when humidity level reached (I have it set at 50%.....the hygrometer is on the other side of the basement). Very quiet - can't hear it running when upstairs. Bought this unit rather than others, as I did not need a built in pump - I run this unit into a separate condensate pump. So far first 60 days is good and would buy again.

I have a very large and finished basement area that gets very humid and musky in the summer. Have a 45 pint unit that had not been cutting it. Purchased this bigger unit and right out if the box it read the Humity level at 15% higher than the other unit and a seperte gage that I have. I was told buy the company to run at continuous level for 24 hours and it would correct itself. It did not. I like the look, quiet run and effectiveness of the product, so I returned it for a new one. Same issue. I am done and very Dissapointed with the unit.

Unit works great, just wish the return water outlet was in the back of unit instead of side. Quiet and effective, really works great in the attic sewing studio in the south Louisiana heat.

I have 2 gallon jugs of windshield washer fluid sitting on the top to stop the plastic on plastic vibrating which is loud.
I don't understand why this unit runs near non-stop and the Kenmore it replaced didn't- I even set the humidity level to over 60% to see if it would make a difference. I kept my old one at 55% or so. This unit is being used in a damp basement.
I'm not impressed.

This product worked wonderfully in my basement, which had a quite high humidity level over the summer. this product will quickly get your atmosphere to your desired humidity level and keep it there. Even with a 70 pint tank, still would recommend getting hose to allow this to automatically drain itself. There were days I was emptying 2-3 times per day (since the machine is so efficient at removing humidity).

Hose not provided - literature does not provide hose size, I purchased 2 hoses so far and returned them as they didn't fit. It is currently out of commision due to NO HOSE

1125 sqft basement in the summer was very humid pipes were sweating. I set it to 55% and it works great.
i have it sitting on a shelf, wheels came pre-attached, would like to remvoe them so it does nto slide of shelf, i have not tried to see if this is possible yet.

So far, this dehumidifer has been great. It dried out my basement and keeps it dry. I have had it running for about 3 months now. I only have two complaints: (1) since the circulation fan runs continuously, I never know when the unit is actually dehumidifiying. This would be helpful to know in order to detetrmine if I need to take additional steps in drying out my basement. For instance, if the unit is dehumidifying 24/7, then I need to take additional steps to cut down on the moisture in my basement, but if it is only running occasionally, then the dehumidifier alone is probably adequate in alleviating my moisture problems. (2) The hose connection leaks, and I need to periodically empty the bucket. Altough, I bet I can solve this problem by buying a hose with a better female fitting, and using teflon tape around the male part on the unit.

It works great and is very quiet and efficient. I have it running in a (formerly damp and moldy) basement. I set the humidistat to 40 and it takes care of the rest. I use the drain hose option so I do not have to empty the tank. I am very pleased with it.

We purchased this dehumidifier several months ago and so far so good. Seems to do the job. Our basement is huge and unfinished and tends to get a little humid, especially over the summer months. The Soleus is quiet and, so far, we are very happy with it's performance.

I bought my first unit in September along with the extended warranty for my damp basement and it did wonders. Due to Hurricane Sandy the dehumidifier was ruined due to salt water. I was happy how it worked the first time I just bought another one. The warranty did me no good because of water damage (oh well) This time around I didn't buy the warranty. As far as the durability of this unit, I have not had it long enough. Good Luck and I would and did buy this product again

We were having water damage to a drivet wall, and this machine stopped it in its tracks. The machine's fan exhaust actually had an unintended bonus effect with this effort.
