Soleus Air KY-36 Portable Air Conditioner and Heater

The Soleus PH1-14R-03 (KY-36) is a powerful 14,000 BTU single hose portable AC unit and heat pump, and it is appropriate for room sizes up to 500 square feet depending on your conditions. The Soleus Air KY-36 is the highest cooling power available under normal household voltage (120 volt / 60 hz). Excellent for year-round operation - cooling in the summer and heating in the winter. This portable air conditioner has 4 separate and distinct modes for cooling, heating, dehumidifying, or fan-only operation - based upon environmental conditions.

Self-Evaporating Technology - during cooling water is extracted from the air into the AC unit. Most of this water is then recycled and used to cool the compressor and make it run more efficiently, improving cooling as well as saving energy. This process either eliminates or reduces the need to manually empty water from the collection tray (depending on the level of humidity in your environment).

Window Installation

The Soleus Air KY-36 (PH1-14R-03) Portable Air Conditioner comes with a window kit designed to fit into most standard vertical and horizontal windows, as well as some sliding glass doors. However, it may be necessary to modify some aspects of the installation process for certain window types. Please refer to the dimensions below.

Note: All portable air conditioners have an air exhaust hose that will need to be vented out of a door, window, wall, or into a ceiling area. Window and/or door kits are included to provide you with simple installation. These exhaust hoses are used to blow hot and/or humid area out of the unit, depending on the specific model.

An Excellent Workhorse from a Terrific vendor

After having gone through a couple of other similar units (different makes) for commercial kitchen use (intense heat and more), I can state that this unit appears to be signifcantly more solid and reliable and is definitely more powerful. Don't expect the kitchen to become a cool place, however, after spending less than $500, including shipping. Sylvane keep up the good value and customer service!
