The Soleus Air LX-140BL Portable Air Conditioner and Heater is a truly versatile appliance. This product features four distinct operating modes—cooling, heating, dehumidifying, and fan-only. Thanks to three ample fan speeds—low, medium, and high—warm or cool air is effortlessly distributed throughout your environment for maximum comfort. The Soleus Air LX-140BL also gives users the option of single- or dual-hose venting. Self-evaporating technology increases this portable air conditioner’s efficiency and eliminates the need to empty water buckets.

The Soleus LX-140 also includes multiple user-friendly enhancements such as a multi-color vacuum fluorescent display (VFD) that clearly indicates modes and temperature adjustments. There is also a convenient 24-hour programmable timer for improved energy efficiency and a remote control for hassle-free adjustments from a distance.

Multifunctional Design

The Soleus Air LX-140BL portable AC was developed to effectively and efficiently meet multiple air treatment needs with just one device. This portable AC features the following four unique air treatment modes:

• Cooling: The LX-140 portable air conditioner delivers 14,000 BTUs of cooling power to rooms sized up to 400 square feet.
• Heating: This Soleus air conditioner has an 11,000 BTU heating capacity that is perfect for chilly winter days.
• Dehumidifying: This mode removes up to 65 pints of excess moisture from your home each day. This prevents unnecessary damage to your wood valuables and your home’s structure, as well as illnesses and allergy symptoms that are triggered by moist, uncomfortable air.
• Fan-Only: This mode is great for comfortable days when you just want a simple, cool breeze to circulate fresh air throughout your area as necessary.

In addition to these modes, the Soleus Air LX-140 also has an Auto mode. This feature automatically chooses the correct mode based on your room temperature. For example, if the temperature is below 68 degrees Fahrenheit, the Heating mode will run. If the room temperature is above 80 degrees Fahrenheit, the Cooling mode will be activated. For temperatures between 68 and 80 degrees Fahrenheit, the LX-140BL portable AC will default to the Dehumidifying mode.

Using the fully-functional remote control, you can activate the Sleep mode. When activated, Sleep mode will run at a low, quiet fan speed and automatically adjust the thermostat to help you rest comfortably throughout the night.

Efficient Operation

This room air conditioner comes with two ventilation options. The single-hose option is perfect for quick spot cooling. However, if you desire more thorough cooling or heating of your area, then dual-hose ventilation is a great solution.

Along with these two ventilation options, this Soleus AC also uses self-evaporating technology. During the cooling process, excess water is pulled from your indoor air. Air conditioners that use self-evaporative technology recycle this water and use it to the cool the compressor. This helps your portable air conditioner operate more efficiently and saves you the hassle of constantly dumping a water collection tank.

The Soleus Air LX-140BL also comes with a washable air filter. This air filter is great for capturing airborne contaminants and preventing them from recirculating throughout your indoor environment and potentially harming the air conditioner’s internal components.

Easy-to-Read and Simple-to-Adjust Control Panel

The first thing that you will probably notice about this control panel is the wide spectrum of colors provided by the vacuum fluorescent display (VFD). Unlike a traditional LED display, a VFD display generates its own light, and it lends more contrast to colors, which makes it easier to read in direct sunlight.

The user-friendly control panel also has soft-touch controls, which allow you to easily and accurately toggle between modes, adjust thermostat settings, and program the 24-hour timer. This Soleus Air portable air conditioner’s programmable timer gives users “set-it-and-forget-it” freedom because you only have to program it once. Set the air conditioner to your perfect temperature and program it to automatically turn on and off at specific times. If your power is interrupted, your settings will be automatically restored once power resumes.

Money Well Spent

This unit is a great way to increase the comfort level in your home 3 ways:

In the winter, you can use it to augment the furnace by putting it in a cold spot in your home and letting it bring a small area up to temp.

When the house gets a little too warm in the summer, turn it on to "dehumidify" and it takes the moisture out of the area and makes it more comfortable.

When it is just too hot, turn it on A/C and let it cool your living room, large bedroom, etc.

One warning - this is a good sized unit and it will turn a smaller room into an icebox if you just turn it all the way down and leave it. Set the thermostat to a temperature at which you normally feel comfortable and it will do the rest.
