The unit arrive on time in good condition. Pluged it in after reading the instructions and it works as advertised.

the unit removes more humidity from the air while in A/C and Heat mode, not dehumidify. When automatic mode the unit shuts off before morning. not bad because the humidity is usually between 50 and 60% in the room. Not bad for coastal Georgia. The instructions could use an upgrade. Drain hose recomendation is wrong and a symbol is not any where on the unit or remote. other than that it's a great unit and I'm very happy with it. I recommended it to any one.

I bought this air conditioner heater mainly for the heat but plan on using it in air conditioner mode in the summer. It is nice to have a piece of equipment that helps winter or summer. The heat pump technology is very cool. At 980 watts of power it puts out 12200 btus for heating. Good luck finding a regular electric heater that has those numbers.

The only drawback is you have to use the exaust hose for heating and air conditioning. The hose is easy to set up and I have mine going out a higher window. It is not that quiet but ok. It makes noise like an air conditioner even in heat mode. But wow does it warm up the bathroom fast. It is the size of a portable air conditioner and is on wheels and I look forward to using it in the summer when its hot.

I bought this unit for a narrow but long room at the back of the house where it's either too cold or hot depending on the season. The unit is rather large, especially with the intake hose and takes up a lot of space. It has, however, warmed the room nicely. We have not used it for AC yet. My major criticism is the noise it makes. The volume on the radio has to be turned up quite high to hear it.

I commend the company for excellent service and quick response to my inquiry about the noise.

We had our Soleus for only 2 years when the internal transformer stopped working. Called Soleus and they said they do not sell the parts and I should ship the unit to California for them to repair! This is a heavy unit and expensive to ship, the labor is $45.00 an hour plus parts, I might as well buy a new unit. It will definitely never be a Soleus again!!! I'm an electrician and could have easily fixed this myself but apparently they don't want this.

I had it for 2 yrs now and i must say if you are considering it.....GET it you wont regret it. It has a ac and a heater and the heater is pretty nice for a electric heater I use it to heat up my man cave and it blew my mind when i first got it so buy buy buy!!!!

We had a window air conditioner for our upstairs. We decided to try the portable air conditioner. It is awesome. It cools the entire upstairs (3 bedrooms). Very easy to use, set the temperature and other settings, it's good to go. Love it!!!

I have only used the AC and fan out of the four functions (haven't used dehumidifier and heater). It is loud--too loud for me to use at night. Even though it is 12,000 BTU it doesn't seem to get the room really cold. The window kit is flimsy and you will need to get some foam and/or tape to seal around, to prevent the hot outside air from coming in.
