The Soleus 12,000-BTU Window AC is recommended for indoor areas measuring up to 500 square feet.
Key Features
- Remote Cooling: The remote control features a built-in thermostat sensor that you can use to assess the temperature of a particularly hot area of your room. When you press the IFEEL button, the window AC will automatically adjust the air conditioner settings according to the temperature of the remote location.
- Sleep Mode: When operating in sleep mode, the Soleus SG-WAC-12ESE Window Air Conditioner decreases compressor activity for efficient operation and lowers the fan speed for quiet operation while you rest.
- Automatic Restart: In the event of a power failure, the air conditioner will automatically resume operation in the last programmed setting, once power is restored. With this convenient function, you never have to worry about coming home to a warm house on a day when the electricity briefly went out.
- Built-in Timer: The 24-hour timer allows you to control operation even when you’re away or asleep. Simply press the delay button to program the air conditioner to automatically turn on or shut down in 30-minute intervals or 1-hour increments for up to 24 hours.
- Eco-Friendly: The Soleus Air SG-WAC-12ESE-C Window Air Conditioner uses R-410A refrigerant, which does not contribute to ozone depletion. Additionally this eco-conscious refrigerant helps preserve the life of the compressor and other internal components of the air conditioner.
Energy-Efficient Operation
The Soleus SG-WAC-12ESE Window Air Conditioner is equipped with several independent operating modes that keep your home cool and comfortable while maintaining efficient operation.
Fan – The cooler it is outside, the less cooling power you need from your air conditioner. Use fan-only operation to prevent room stuffiness in cooler temperatures. This Soleus window air conditioner is equipped with high, medium, and low speed settings in fan mode.
Cool – During cool mode, the Soleus Air SG-WAC-12-ESE-C Window AC processes 260 cubic feet of air per minute. Using 12,000 BTUs of cooling power, this Soleus air conditioner forces heat out of the air and replaces it with a refreshing cool breeze. The operating temperature range is between 61 and 86 degrees Fahrenheit in cool mode.
Dry – To adequately cool your space, the air conditioner must first tackle moisture in the air. In dry mode, this window AC eliminates humidity as it cools your room. Serving as a dehumidifier, the Soleus Air SG-WAC-12-ESE-C Air Conditioner extracts over 80 pints of moisture per day and provides immediate comfort while conserving energy.
Energy Saver – For budget-friendly operation and energy-efficient cooling, take advantage of the energy saver mode. Great for maintaining a comfortable temperature while you’re at work or out of town, the energy saver mode cycles the fan on and off to circulate fresh air throughout the room. This feature can result in significant savings on your energy bill each year.
Straightforward Window Installation
The Soleus Air 12,000-BTU Window Air Conditioner is equipped with all the tools you need for secure window installation. This room air conditioner is designed to be mounted in windows between 23 to 36 inches wide. The installation kit includes a window sash seal and foam gasket, two accordion panels, a top-mounting rail and seal strip, and a screw set.

like the fact the coils are covered with a product that keeps out weather. definitly better than spt product.wish it was made in North America, however this product is backed by a California co. that I trust. If you purchase from a good co. , you will be alright

We love this air conditioner because it WORKS so well and is so QUIET! Our box fan is twice as loud as this air conditioner! We don't have to blast the tv to hear over it! Mostly, we love it because it REALLY cools well. We cool 4 whole smallish rooms with it, although we use a small extra fan to move the air into the bedroom. I woke up shivering the first night we had it and it was over 100 outside!! We can finally turn some lights on in our home and I even did some laundry by putting it on dry so the humidity wouldn't build up. It was 106 that day! Check the dB rating, this thing is really quiet for an air conditioner. I can talk on the phone in front of it. It has a great set of options for settings and a great remote, too. It's energy efficient but what we love the most is that it works so well for cooling (shivering!), it's quiet, and it has a dry setting for when the humidity builds up. We think it's wonderful, especially for the price, although that was not the most important thing to us; we wanted COOL, quiet and drying option that would be powerful enough to cool more than one room and this one really fits the bill!! We love it.
It was easy to install and very clear to use, with digital readoout for temp, options such as settings to customize, and has a feature where a light comes on when the reusable filter is dirty. It also resets itself and comes back on if the power fails! That's perfect.
It arrived in fine condition and is just lovely with movable baffles for air direction also.
We highly recommend this little sweetie, it's a workhorse with great features. It also has a sealed styrofoam thing to keep the heat out of the outside, which is nice also.
We use it to cool about 600 sq foot with a fan to move the air into the bedroom; it's located in the kitchen and cools the whole house.
I had to sleep with a blanket, it was wonderful!! It also did not freeze up like our old one always did.

We use this product to cool our living room and are quite pleased with it. Only would recommend that you add pre-drilled drain holes on the bottom of the unit to help prevent water being disbursed into the air in your home after a heavy rainfall as they are on the top of the unit and the water sits on the bottom of the unit with no place to go...Would maybe like to see if it would possibly have the fins where the air comes into the room oscillate to provide better air distribution. Otherwise a really good product. Would definitely buy another one and recommend to friends who are looking for an air conditioner for their home. Customer service was nice and very helpful when needed to call. Very pleased with both products that I have...First one was my fault that it got damaged and I will get it repaired and place it elsewhere in our home. Second one is working great and helping with keeping the heat at bay which is much needed this year with all the heat up in our area which we are not quite used to.
