I thought we paid below average for this product considering the BTU'S and the fact it's also a heater... Installation was easy with the wall sleeve too.. Works great but the directions were a little confusing. We found it best just to fire it up and figure it out ourselves.. PLEASE NOTE ,THIS WORKS ON A 220 LINE,, NOT A 110 !!!

Price was excellent, but as they say, you get what you pay for. Item was delivered promptly, box was not damaged. There was no sign of damage caused by shipping. I installed the unit myself without any trouble.
I turned the unit on and heard a loud grinding sound, obviously, something was wrong. I turned the unit off and and on again and got the same response.
Now, I was faced with returning this item, reboxing this behemoth, sending it back cross country or taking the casing off and seeing what was wrong inside. I opted to take the casing off since I am handy. Underneath the hood, the whole fan assembly was loose, and practically fell into my hands. All the screws that hold the fan assembly together were stripped, probably over tightened and stripped in the factory in China.
I purchased larger screws which tightened nicely and held the fan assembly securely in place. I reassembled the unit and installed it back in the wall and it has been working flawlessly over the last month. I hope it lasts. I'm afraid to leave it on when I leave the house for fear that the fan will fall out of the housing and cause some fireworks. So far, I only turn it on when I am home.
Furthermore, the unit is loud. I cannot believe that others have claimed that the unit is quit. I have to turn up the volume of the large screen TV next to it from 1/4 volume to 3/4 volume when this thing starts up. Even on low, this unit sounds like it is going to take off.
Otherwise, the unit is great, warms up the room nicely, powerful, good remote options, nice unit for a remote spot not close to a TV, radio or seating area. Thank God, I have baseboard heating and don't have to rely on this unit for total heat.
I should send Soleus a bill for repairing the unit and for all of the frustration involved with the purchase of this item. My advise is to stay away from this product.

Great combo product. I installed mine thru the wall to cool a large bedroom, which allows me to cool that room at night without running the central AC for the whole house. The heating function is an added bonus. It is loud, but now enough to keep me awake. Love it! PS: Don't forget the sleeve if yours is a new install.

Installed it this summer but waited for cold weather to see how the heater did. Terrific. We install through the wall with the sleeve. Installed at a height of about 5 feet. Just works perfectly. Two small rooms with hall between, about 400 sq feet, and fan moves heat around well. Place is well insulataed, which helps of course.

First I was a little skeptical about ordering a major electronic from an online provider which I never delt with before. Let me just say it was one of the best online purchases I have ever decided to take a chance on. The customer service was fantastic, the delivery was quick and the product works just as described, if not better. After I ordered the product online, there was no place for me to put my coupon code, I called the customer service number and they quickly understood my issue and refunded the difference back to me. Best of all they are located in the states, which means you understand them and they understand you, unlike certain companies that outsource to places like india (frustrating). I am very pleased with this company, product and customer service wise. I hope I will never need another unit, but if I do I will definitly be back. Thanks for the great service.

I have not had a chance to use this product yet as I have not found a compatible plug-in for it but the installation was relativly good. I did however have issues with the installation instructions when it came to the ground wire. There were only vague instructions on where this goes and one end had no explination at all.
