I love my old-fashioned dual filter, which has lasted about 17 years so far. Aside from one leaky tube it has worked great. The only problem is that the filters seem to change their look at times and it's always a guessing game to see how to load them in the proper order. I wish the filters were numbered 1 and 2 and included a clear diagram as to their position within the unit.

My family has used Sun Pure filters for over 15 years, and the quality of the filter, the ease of use and cost are all exemplary. However, we replaced the first one and have had extensive problems with the replacement after a couple years; its gaskets and tubing were defective in several places (all plastic), resulting in a leaky filter. Also, the parts are not standard plumbing, so it isn't feasible to replace them. The first model we had performed admirably for many years. Obviously, the company no longer seems to exist, so there's no recourse. Even if it were feasible to buy the same model, I would avoid. I also advise paying more attention to how the filter is made, what kind of parts, etc., in addition to its features and results. Lastly, the computer chip never seemed to work.

I've had an UltraSun Water Purifier for probably 15 years. The quality of the product is very good. Although it is stored in a damp basement year-round, the enamel has not failed, and aside from one hose -- which leaked -- it has served me well. I can really taste the difference when the filters need to be changed so I know it's working.
