Multiple Drainage Options

The Sunpentown SD-40E can drain collected water in 2 ways – manual or gravity drainage. To manually drain the unit, simply empty the water collection bucket when it becomes full and replace. To prevent overflow accidents, the dehumidifier is equipped with a full bucket indicator light as well as an automatic shut-off function. The auto shut-off control cuts power to the unit in the event that the water container becomes full, and you are not available to empty it.

For gravity-guided drainage, the dehumidifier features a continuous drainage port. To set up this configuration, simply connect a drainage hose (not included with the unit) to the port and direct the hose downward into a nearby drain. Collected water will continuously flow out of the unit.
