Test the air quality and identify harmful pollutants in your little one's nursery—or any other room in your home—with the do-it-yourself Test Your Nest Kit. This easy-to-use, at-home testing kit helps you test for a variety of common home contaminants that could contribute to illness, including pollen, airborne and surface mold, fiberglass particles, insect residue, formaldehyde, and more than 80 volatile organic compounds (VOCs). The Test Your Nest Indoor Air Quality Test Kit also includes prepaid laboratory analysis fees as well as a detailed results report identifying the pollutants in your home along with suggestions for corrective actions.
According to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the air in your indoor environment can be up to 5 times more polluted than the air outdoors. Airborne pollutants such as dust, mold, pollen, VOCs and other chemicals, fiberglass particles, and even insect residue can all aggravate existing health conditions and cause new ones to develop among people with weakened immunity. The only way to identify illness-causing contaminants in your environment is to test your indoor air. The Test Your Nest Kit helps you perform a comprehensive screening of the air in your home to identify air quality issues, so you can take steps to restore healthy indoor air quality.
The Evalu-Aire Test Your Nest Edition Kit includes four individual sampling kits to test your environment. These kits include:
The Test Your Nest Screen Check Test Kit includes easy-to-understand instructions for testing your air and surfaces. Once you have collected the samples, place them along with the loaner air-sampling pump into the pre-addressed, postage paid container and mail it to the analysis lab, Environmental Diagnostics Laboratory (EDLab). Once it has received your samples, EDLab will perform a full analysis on them and prepare a detailed report of findings. You will receive the report within 7 to 10 business days after the lab has received your samples.
The Test Your Nest Kit results report includes quantitative findings in parts per million (ppm) for chemical pollutants and count findings in either counts per cubic meter (cts/m3) or counts per square centimeter (cts/cm2) for particle pollutants. All pollutant level findings will be compared to the pollutants levels considered to be normal. Your report will include a detailed written explanation as well as easy-to-understand graphic charts depicting the pollutant levels found in your environment. Detailed suggestions for corrective action are also included along with your report.
