Digital Control Panel     

This model offers Automatic or Manual operating modes that you can easily change between on the digital control panel. When the US Stove 5500M is in Automatic mode, the fans and heat range will operate at preset intervals unless you manually change them. The control panel uses an LCD display that makes it easy to operate this heater. It puts the following options at your fingertips:

• On: Pressing the ON button begins the start-up sequence for the heater.
   
• Heat Range: Pressing the arrows up and down will adjust the amount of fuel being delivered to the burnpot. This also determines how quickly your home is heated.
   
• Room Fan: When Automatic mode is selected, the unit chooses a fan speed based on the heat range settings; you can also manually select speeds 1-9 (1 being the slowest and 9 the fastest).
   
• Draft Fan: The draft fan exhausts air out of your home and automatically adjusts its speed depending on the heat range setting. This button lets you manually control the fan if you prefer that over the automatic operation.
   
• Auger Delay: This button pauses rotation of the auger and agitator for approximately 1 minute. This is typically only used during the startup cycle to slow the fuel delivery.
   
• Mode: Switch between Automatic and Manual modes.
   
• Off: Causes the heater to begin its shut-down sequence.
