I use my light every morning while i make and have breakfast. I have noticed a huge difference in my moods. The light is easy to use with different timers, so you can use it even 15 minutes and it shuts itself off. Every article I have read on SAD, says you need 10,0000 Lux. I'm not a pro but it is very bright and what I need here in the dark northeast. I would purchase it again if given the chance.

I purchased this light based on reviews from other customers. I have been in recovery from an illness. As part of this recovery, I am supposed to be exposed to sun light and bright lighting daily, as opposed to cloudy days. Since my recovery has been taking place over the winter months, cloudy days were prevalent.

I began to also work with the schedule recommended for helping with sleeping patterns, but have yet to make it through the schedule completely. I was seeing signs of improvement......but, I am also sleeping when necessary during the days and evenings and began missing the appropriate times. As I previously stated, however, I was seeing improvements after about 3 days of use.

The light seems bright upon onset, but it really isn't bothersome. Sometimes I am using at my desk with it facing me and just periodically glancing directly into it. Have done the same thing when watching television, etc. Very easy to use. It is easy to move around and it's sleek lines prevent it from being the "elephant in the room". In case someone is curious, there is no noise (like florescent lights make). Instant on and off.

Sylvane.com was great to deal with. My order went through immediately and had immediate email responses. I was notified of the order number, the confirmation of the receipt of order, approval of order notification and finally, the shipping notice. A total of FOUR email alerts! Much appreciated. I'm very happy with the Apollo Lamp. I believe it makes a positive difference in treating my seasonal depression. The only thing that would be more convenient is to have the light mobile so that I could move around and do household tasks while getting my light treatment, like a visor-lamp. This winter has been more tolerable to me because of light therapy. Thank you.

After 10 minutes, the light begins an intolerable very high frequency flickering. Had to return it.
