I have suffered from hay fever and allergies for my entire life, and I am now 65. I have been treated by an Ear-nose-throat doctor for years, and have had to take antibiotics for sinus infections along with antihistamines and steroid nasal sprays, but with little relief. Someone recomended that I try an electronic air cleaner to go with my home air conditioner. I purchased an Aprilaire 5000 about 3 years ago, and my allergy problems have become almost non-existent.

Once a year, I have the unit cleaned and I replace the filtering element, and the unit works wonderfully. The Aprilaire 5000 provides me with safe, quality air, relieves my allergies, and has had no mechanical problems. It is one of the best investments that I have ever purchased. I have probably saved enough in Doctor and medical bills to pay for the unit.
