I purchased the Bionaire BAP1250 with the Galileo remote sensor feature. I opened the box, started to follow instructions to install the filters and synchronize the purifier with the remote Galileo sensor. It took 1 hour to get the unit to even work. The filter door would not latch and after bending and adjusting the plastic door I finally got it to latch but it still would not turn on. The filter was properly installed but was still pressing on the door and it could not contact the microswitch inside to activate the power to the unit. More bending and adjusting of the grill primary filter support. I finally got it to work as long as I didn't touch it or it would shut off.

The Galileo remote air quality sensor seemed to work okay but was not very sensitive. I was debating whether to return this purchase while I was basking in the purified air, when Galileo just up and died on me. It lasted a whole 1/2 hour and died... no power, no LED readout, no response,just a slight spark at the plug when I tried plugging it in again. What a piece of crap.

Quality control with this company must be nonexistant. I was concerned about the high cost of replacing the 3 HEPA filters but I can see now that the filters would probably outlast the air purifier.
