I live in a multi-unit condo building that is about 100 years old and we have challenges with excess moisture in our basement areas. I am a dedicated Consumer Reports reader and they rated the Danby DDR606 Dehumidifier as the best, compared to the other models they tested. The dehumidifier was easy to set up and has been running for a week now. It has successfully made a substantial difference in the humidity level in the basement and you can notice the difference. I attached a hose to the back of the unit so we would not have to constantly empty the tray and it works perfectly. The digital display on the front of the unit allows you to track the progress of the unit's ability to remove the humidity from the air. I am very pleased with this purchase and would buy from Sylvane again.
