The ease of installation was a surprise. Termnex wanted to charge me 2 1/2 times what I
paid buying direct. The unit works great and is very quiet. The only problem I found was the tubing was crimped and will not straighten. Great product.

I couldn't be happier with my purchase of the Dri-Eaz CMC100 dehumidifier. I researched dehumidifiers for weeks before finding this awesome unit to complete my crawl space project.

I had some moisture issues in my crawl space, which is common in South Carolina homes, and had it encapsulated by one of the premier companies in the area. After the encapsulation I found that my crawl space humidity was still 70-80% and I needed to dry out the air, and the wood of the floor joists. I contacted the crawl space encapsulation company to find out their unit cost almost $1500. That lead me to do some research and after a couple weeks I found the Dri-Eaz CMC100.

I found this unit had all the features of the competitors - and more! There is no need to pay extra for a ducting kit, the Dri-Eaz has it built in. There is no need to pay extra for a condensate pump, the Dri-Eaz has it built in too! Add to that this unit has better CFM air-flow then the competitors and it does it all using LESS power. Finally I saw the flexibility of the unit being able to switch panels around to move air in and out of the different sides and I knew that this was the unit for me.

After receiving the unit I found the all metal housing to be of great quality, no cost cutting plastic case here! The digital humidistat display and controls, unlike the "knob" and "clicks" of the competitors model, showed that this was built for the 21st century. The installation was easy and only took one person. I ran the 20ft of hose to my drain location, plugged the unit in, and I was up and running. Within 48 hours my 3600 cubic foot crawl space dropped from 80% humidity to 60% over the next few days it kept dropping to my 45% set-point. This unit met every expectation I had, and then some.

My suggestions for the company, add an optional HEPA or high quality MERV 10+ filter. If they could incorporate a remotely operated control/display for adjusting and viewing the status of the unit then I couldn't be happier. Even without these 2 suggestions this is still, hands down, the most feature packed and high performance unit on the market - all at one of the lowest prices.
