These IQAir air filters are great for cleaning the air in your house. The filters are great value as they last a long time. Program the air filters to work for 10-12 hours per day and the air is fresh, and the filters last a long time.

Using IQAir in NYC

I live in Manhattan and use the IQ Air Plus to help combat the air in NYC. I turned off my air filter when I went on vacation for 2 weeks. When I came home to my apartment, I could instantly smell the difference in the air. It didn't smell as clean as it does when I run my air filter.

I purchased IQ Air HealthPro about 12 years ago and it still works great. At the time I was using an Austin Air as well as an ionizer. Since birth, I have had tested allergic to dust and various fragrances. I definitely could tell an improvement with the IQ Air HealthPro in that it seemed to remove finer particulates from the air and it felt easier to breath. I was so impressed that I bought a second IQ Air - this time a HealthPro Plus with the V5 odor and gas removal cell. It is still working great as well. Sometimes lately either one will make a slight high pitch noise but I have found if I move it around on the tile floor, the high pitch noise goes away; so I think the motor may be sensitive to being off balance but I am not sure about that.

This review is for the pre-filters. It is very easy to install and the indicator light comes on to tell you it is time to replace it. You can change how often the light comes on either sooner or later depending upon what works for your household. The directions for how to change the indicator lights from the factory default is in the instructions. Also after easily replacing the pre-filter you simply follow instructions to reset the indicator light back to green (all systems go) but IQ Air is nice enough to enclose the instructions with the filters so you don't have to look it up in the original manaul.

At times over the years, I have wondered if my allergies were cured so I would try turning off the air purifiers. When I turned it back on over the next couple of days I could definitely tell an improvement in ease of breathing, relaxation, comfort, and less sinus congestion. I hope it means less to dust and clean as well! As I have been using these two machines for over a decade, you can well imagine that I have purchased A LOT of filters!

I actually had two sellers other than Sylvane have IQAir factory send them the filter and then put it in a box and then send the filter to me!
