An Excellent Workhorse from a Terrific vendor

After having gone through a couple of other similar units (different makes) for commercial kitchen use (intense heat and more), I can state that this unit appears to be signifcantly more solid and reliable and is definitely more powerful. Don't expect the kitchen to become a cool place, however, after spending less than $500, including shipping. Sylvane keep up the good value and customer service!

After receiving the portable AC/heat unit, I had it set up and running within a few days. The unit was just like it stated and it completed its job admirably. I would recommend this unit to anyone who wants to have a portable AC/heat unit. I also want to thank the sales staff who helped me purchase the correct unit, as per the calculations that were submitted to them.

Unstable AC Unit

Right out of the box, this unit's thermostat was defective in heat mode. Don't rely on this unit to be accurate. The unit will cool, but do not depend on the ambient temperature to match the set temperature. In heat mode, the set temperature was 81 and we were lucky to get the small bedroom up to 68-69 degrees F. I have contacted the manufacturer and they refuse to accept that my unit was defective. I have read many other reviews about Soleus Air's horrible customer service. I wish I read them before I made my purchase. This would have saved me a week of agony in dealing with them.
