Just bought the Vornado iControl for use in my recently finished basement. We've had the chance to use the heater a few times this week and it works great to warm up a room approximately 15 X 30. The heater is very small, quiet, and cool to the touch. The remote works as expected and without issue.

Other reviews have mentioned that the thermostat isn't highly accurate but I would argue isn't really relevant. I simply turn the heater on and set the temp to something above whatever the temperature in the room is. It runs until the room warms up. We are only using the heater when we are in the basement and it heats up so quick there is no reason to let it run all the time.

If you have a room that isn't well heated by your main heating source or you have a wife who is constantly cold like I do this is a great product.

I love this heater. Silent running fan and great heating performance. It does about as good if not a better job of heating than my high priced $400.00 model and it is much quieter. Don't let the size fool you. This heater is compact but packs a punch.

when it arrived, it did not work at first. This was because of the excellent safety features that shut it down when it is bumped or rattled as it more than likely was when shipped. I just reset it by un-plugging for 15 minutes and its worked like a charm since.

My wife and I have been looking for sometime for a portable heater that could supplement our gas baseboard hot water heating system. Our system must heat the whole house, so we have been cutting our thermostat back and only need to heat two primary rooms we use. The Vornado Touchstone Heater seems to be the answer.

We have tried small, "bargain" heaters. We also tried a more expensive electric fireplace heater, which was suppossed to heat an entire room. This Vornado heater does a better job. It is quiet and seems to heat the room, not just objects. It is not hot to the touch, which is important since we have young grandchildren. Within ten minutes, it seems to knock the chill off a room. It is not heavy and can be easily moved. We highly recommend it!
