Shop No Further!

You can save time and money by shopping no further and buying the Whispure 510 air purifier. Why? Because it's everything it's described to be and you can't beat the price! I've struggled with respiratory and severe allergies for many years and even purchased years ago a couple high end purifiers that many allergy sites and doctors recommended. They were expensive and very loud. There was no way I could sleep with what sounded like a jet engine in my bedroom.

The Whispure 510 is so quiet on the low setting I don't even notice it at night, but best of all ... it does it exactly what it claims. It purifies the air! After running for only a couple hours on the medium setting our bedroom smelled fresh and clean. Better yet, I live next to a main street where diesel trucks travel all day and I haven't smelled fumes since using this purifier. If your thinking you'll find a better and cheaper purifier, you won't. And Consumer Reports rated the previous model of this brand their best bet. I'm one pleased customer.

Great air purifier

This air purifier is excellent value!!! It's very quiet and efficient. I'm highly allergic to dust and this unit does a great job at removing it and other allergens. The air is certainly cleaner and fresher when we leave the unit running 24 hours a day. We also like the fact that it's energy efficient. It certainly works better than our previous ozone air purifier. We've already recommended this unit and Sylvane to our friends and family.

Dust free air is wonderful, especially when you're allergic to dust.

Good:
- The unit is not loud, even at its highest setting. In fact, the sound it makes is very, very relaxing.
- Great at pulling dust from the air. I don't have post-nasal drip all the time at home anymore!
- Fairly light: 25 lbs.
- Has indicators telling you when it's time to change the carbon and HEPA filters.

Bad:
- No wheels. While I can pick up 25 lbs without much difficulty, I can imagine it being a problem for some.

Lowdown:
A couple of weeks ago, I found out that I’m allergic to pretty much everything: dogs, cats, hamsters, roaches, grass, trees, dust... everything but mold and food. "Ah, I see," I thought. "So this is why I wake up every morning with post nasal drip." To help alleviate the symptoms, my wife and I started taking a number of measures to reduce the number of allergens in the air: dusting the house more often, vacuuming more, keeping the dog off the bed and away from me, and requesting a move to an apartment without carpet.

The best move we made was investing in a couple of these units. See, even worse than the dog, I have dust, which I'm highly allergic to. Lots of it. I mean, c’mon, I live in Florida, God’s waiting room. People here essentially fart the stuff. And it doesn’t help any that the apartment complex I live in uses a non-standard sized AC vent, so I can’t go to Lowe’s or Home Depot to simply pick up an AC filter there so I can replace the filter they put there with something that actually, you know, filters the air. No, I have to wait 3 months before they change the air filter that was supposed to be changed on a monthly basis. Disgusting.

So as you can see, even though I did everything I could, I still needed to do something to improve the air quality in my house. I started doing a bunch of research and found the Consumer Report list of recommended air purifiers. Near the top of that list was the Whirlpool Whispure 510. (At the top was its no longer produced cousin, the Whispure 450.)

You should know, I live in an 800sqft, carpeted apartment. The units I picked up clean a maximum area of 510 feet each. Result: with two units I can keep my house almost allergen free.

I ordered the units about a week ago, with free delivery, and got them last night via UPS. Without hesitation I got them into the house, opened the boxes and started them off. Then the Wife and I grabbed our dinners and started watching our favorite show. About 30 minutes into it, I turn to my wife and ask, “Is it just me, or does the air seem thinner, lighter?”

She nodded. “Yeah, it feels cleaner.” This was all the proof I needed to justify my purchase.

Waking up every morning with post-nasal drip sucks. Seriously, when the first thing you feel in the morning is gunk at the back of your throat, it’s not a good feeling. I woke up this morning without post-nasal drip. It was awesome. If you have allergies, especially if you’re allergic to dust, I highly recommend the WhisPure 510. Not that I’m a great source of information or anything, but I’ve tried a few air purifiers and this has been by far the best one.

Air filters - purifiers

We have had a Whrilpool model 510 for over a year and it works wonders in our Master Bedroom that is 625 sq. ft. It is on 24/7 and does an outstanding job, far better than the far more expendsive units that sell for twice the amount....I tried several and spent a lot of money on the higher priced units that don't come close the filtering we've gotten from this model.

I’ve suffered from allergies for many years, I decided this year would be my last year of spring time misery, so I went and saw an allergist. Not surprising, I was told I’m allergic to household dust, tree pollen, ragweed, dust mites, and oak. It was recommended that I invest in an air cleaner and soon found myself at my computer researching models, reading reviews, and stumbled upon the Sylvane website through search engines. Sylvane kept me informed on the status of my order via e-mail and I am happy to report that my purchase arrived quickly. As I researched the Whirlpool Whispure 510 Air Purifier (AP51030S) I discovered the unit earned consistently good ratings. It has an energy star rating and uses HEPA filters to strip allergens from the air. It can be used for an area as large as 510 ft squared, I use it in my apartment where it does it’s magic in the living room during the late afternoon and then I take it with me into the bedroom for the evening. The Whispure is surprisingly light in weight and can be carried easily from room to room without a fuss. The unit is not very loud and I barely notice it as I sleep. The unit has four speeds and I really like the sleep mode button. The air quality is better in my apartment as a result of using the unit, and I don’t find myself sneezing as much as I did prior to this purchase. Also my asthma isn’t bothering me as much anymore.
