A new addition to Vornado’s portable heater line, the iControl Digital Vortex Heater combines the company’s signature Vortex airflow technology with an easy-to-control, one-knob interface. Using Vortex Technology, the Vornado iControl Heater creates a tornado-like beam of air that projects across a room until it reaches a barrier. After it hits the barrier, the air returns across the perimeter of the room to be re-circulated again and again. Vortex Technology has been proven to provide more efficient, reliable, and comfortable heat circulation throughout an entire room.

Controlling this Vornado heater is easy. By simply turning the knob on the top of the unit, you can scroll through a range of heater settings including timer functions, heating modes, automatic climate control, and temperature settings. A simple push of the knob puts your selected settings into action. Your selections are displayed clearly on a large LCD screen. Alternatively, you can use the iControl heater’s convenient wireless remote to control heater functions from a distance.

For safety, the iControl portable heater is equipped with an automatic safety shutoff system that cuts power to the unit’s heating element if it is accidentally tipped over or if overheating conditions occur. In addition, this Vornado heater features durable, cool-to-the-touch construction; a wide, stable base; and tight front-grille spirals that greatly reduce the risk of common heater-related injuries. A handle opening on the back of the unit simplifies the unit’s portability. Complete features of the Vornado iControl Digital Vortex Heater include:

• Non-Glowing Heating Element – This heater’s non-glowing, thermostatically controlled heating element is safer and longer lasting.
• One-Knob Operation – One easy-to-control knob lets you scroll through and select your desired heater settings.
• Wireless Remote Control – No longer will you have to get up to adjust the heater’s settings. This RF (radio frequency) remote allows you to conveniently adjust settings from a distance.
• Automatic Climate Control – The unit’s circulator fan speeds up and slow down to maintain the desired room temperature instead of cycling on and off, which can produce uncomfortable hot-and-cold temperature pockets.
• Three Operating Modes – Choose from low heat, high heat, and fan-only settings. The fan-only setting is perfect for summertime use.
• Safety Shutoff System – In the event that the heater’s air inlet or grille outlet is blocked, this system automatically cuts power to the heating element to prevent overheating. The system will also cut power if the heater is tipped over.
• LCD Display Screen – Illuminates for easy visibility when setting adjustments are made.
• Power Indicator Light – This large, illuminated light reminds you that the heater is on.
• Adjustment Alert – A “beep” sound indicates when heating, temperature, and timer settings are changed.
• Timer – Use the timer to program the heater’s operation in 1-hour intervals up to 9 hours.
• Safer Body Design – This Vornado space heater features a wide base to maximize stability and durable metal and plastic construction that remains cool to the touch.
