Deemed the "world's smartest heater," the compact Vornado TVH600 TouchStone Vortex Heater—also known as the Vornado EH1-0036-46—pushes the envelope on advanced heating and safety features. These features include a thermostatic remote control to maintain a more accurate room temperature, exclusive Vortex technology for even room heating, and automatic climate control.
Three operating modes keep you comfortable all year and include: Low heat, high heat, and fan-only operation. The heating element is turned off in fan-only mode, and the strong fan circulates air in your space. Advanced Whole-Room Heating
Designed to heat a 16-foot by 16-foot single room with an 8-foot ceiling, the Vornado TVH 600 uses Vornado’s signature Vortex technology to circulate warm air throughout an entire room. Instead of simply heating the area in front the unit, this heater’s fan uses tornado-like action to circulate heat around the room.
Unlike other portable heaters that create uncomfortable hot and cold cycles by turning off and on to maintain the room's temperature, the Vornado TVH 600 Vortex Heater has automatic climate control. This feature uses continuous variable heat and air output to maintain the set temperature and often allows the Vornado EH1-0036-46 TouchStone Vortex heater to run on less power.
Intuitive Remote Control
The Vornado TouchStone Vortex 600 heater comes with a thermostatic remote control that continuously monitors your room’s temperature and sends the reading back to the heater using radio frequency (RF). The Vornado EH1-0036-46 then processes this information and automatically adjusts the heat setting to sustain the comfort of your room. This allows the Vornado TVH 600’s remote to maintain a more accurate overall heat level throughout your room.
In addition to automatic temperature monitoring, the Vornado TVH600 remote control also gives you the power to turn the heater off and on, adjust temperature settings, toggle between operation modes, and set the timer all from your favorite chair or sofa.

I have used this forum to promote the good, trash the bad, and downright berate the ugly when it comes to companies and products. For a change, this experience was better than good.
Living in a mobile home in south Texas presents a challenge: During the winter, the nights can be cold, but the days are usually pretty warm. I decided to purchase a space heater to take the chill out of the bedroom at night without having to run the central heating in the whole house. Since I basically live out of one bedroom, an electric space heater seemed the ideal solution. I tried a quartz radiant heater, but I found the heat highly directional, and the heater cycled between high and off, causing the room to cycle between chilly and hot. After doing user review research on the 'net, I decided to give the Vornado TouchStone Vortex Heater (TVH600) a try. I purchased the unit from Sylvane, because they had the best price anywhere.
And y'all know me, I spent a good time looking for the best price.
When I unpacked the unit I was dubious: This heater is pretty small in physical size. But after turning it on, the heater did not take long to bring the bedroom up to a comfortable 75 degrees. This is a large master bedroom with questionable insulation, close to 16' x 16', so I was surprised when this small unit maintained the room temperature without having to run continuously. The temperature outside was in the mid 30's and the thermostat on the central heat was below 55. The fan is very quiet, but obviously efficient. Unlike the quartz heater, the Vornado's continuously variable heat keeps the room warm without cycling between warm and cool, and without the annoying directionality. The remote thermostat ensures you are at the temperature you desire, and works very effectively. I prefer to sleep with the temperature in the 60s, and even in the large bedroom the Vornado can maintain that setting in low heat mode. I have only needed the high setting during the day on colder days to maintain 75.
The backlit touch screen on the top of the heater screen works well, with a user-friendly layout, although it is more convenient to use the remote. The only criticism I have is the remote should be re-designed to display the temperature you are setting while you are adjusting it with the remote. The remote only displays the current room temperature it is sensing; therefore, you have to look at the heater to see what the setting is.
Overall this is a wonderful product, and well worth the premium over the cost of a simple space heater. And for all your air purifier, heater or related products, give Sylvane a try. You won't be disappointed.

YOU WOULD THINK THAT THEY WOULD DO A RECALL AND CHECK THE HEATER BEFORE IT LEAVES THE WAREHOUSE.
THEY EMAILED ME THE RETURN SHIPPER, SO THE RETURN WARRANTY IS GOOD. LET'S HOPE WHEN I GET THE"FIXED" ONE BACK IT WILL WORK AND WITH A 5 YEAR WARRANTY IT IS GOOD.

My garage workshop is about 20' by 20' but this heater would not even begin to heat it enough for me to work. Ran the heater for over an hour, and couldn't raise the temperature even 5 degrees and walls and ceiling is heavily insulated.

Okay, First I'll cut to the chase on the Vornado
TVH600. If you want a room heater (not a space
heater), this is the one, hands down! I have been using Vornado fans & heaters for about 20+ years,
and their products cannot be beat, as far as
performance, durability,features, etc. I currently own six different models of Vornado
heaters:EH1,VH101,VH110,TVH500, TVH600, and
I-Control EH1. All of these models will heat an entire room, not just the space in front of the heater. The main difference between these models are features. I have spent at least a couple of thousand dollars trying every type space heater made, before discovering Vornado. Get it, you will Love it!

started the heater it ran fine for 2 hr then the fan started to make a squeaking noise.not to happy since this is a replacement for the first one that was sent that did not work at all.

I own several types of Vornado heaters and have generally been satisfied. I paid the premium price for this one because of the remote control feature.
The remote works to change temp, change mode (hi/lo heat or just fan) and shut off. However, if you can't see the control screen on the heater itself you don't know what mode you are in when using the remote. You can change the temp up or down using the remote and you can change mode - the problem is, you don't know what mode you are in when you are operating the remote from across the room. The remote should have the same screen as the heater, or there should be separate tones to indicate what mode has been changed.
I'm still getting up to see what mode is on the heater unit's screen, which is annoying.
Otherwise, the unit is nice and quiet and warms a room very well. Timer function is nice if you want to use it at bedtime to shut off heater after a certain period of time. Tip over safety feature is nice with pets and kids running around.

Absolutely the best heater I ever tried. It is quieter than most. The heat is evenly spread through out the room. And I just love the touch screen and the remote control. It keeps you nice and comfortable.

If you want a furnace blast of hot air this is not for you. It does put out heat equal to a normal furnace vent and easily heats an average size room.
With temps in the 20's I came out from under my throw last night and even had to turn the heater down.
Sylvane also sold it to us for a lot less than I could find anywhere else.
5 year warranty too!
