Advanced Drainage System

Unlike conventional portable air conditioners, the Whynter ARC-10WB Air Conditioner features a self-evaporative drainage system. Instead of simply siphoning condensation into a tank that you will have to empty on a regular basis, this AC's self-evaporative system recycles a portion of the water and uses it to cool the internal coils within the unit. This reduces and, in some cases, eliminates collected condensate. Note that drainage efficiency is dependent on your specific environmental conditions. In more humid environments, some condensate will still collect in the air conditioner’s drain tray for manual removal.

As an alternative drainage method, use the included gravity drain hose. When the drainage hose is attached to the portable AC, condensate drains automatically to a nearby drain or another location using the force of gravity.

Four Operational Modes Plus Sleep Mode

• Cooling mode activates the AC’s cooling function. Use this mode to set your desired cooling temperature between 62 to 88 degrees Fahrenheit and control cooling speed.

• Fan mode runs the air conditioner in fan-only operation. This mode is helpful when ventilation is a priority, maximum cooling capacity is not needed, or when you want to save energy by not running the compressor.

• Dry mode operates the air conditioner’s dehumidifier feature. If humid or damp conditions are an overriding factor in the environment, the Whynter ARC-10WB Air Conditioner can remove excess moisture in the air at a rate of 55 pints per day while in dry mode.

• Auto mode takes the guesswork out of the cooling process by letting the Whynter Green ARC-10WB determine the best way to keep you comfortable. The air conditioner will automatically choose between fan-only and cooling modes based on your ambient temperature. This feature is valuable in an environment with frequent or unpredictable temperature changes or if you find yourself constantly adjusting the thermostat to stay comfortable.

• Sleep mode runs the air conditioner quieter than normal and at a lower power level to reduce energy consumption. In this mode, the set temperature is slowly increased during the first hour and held constant thereafter. This mode is useful for keeping the air conditioner running overnight while saving energy.
