The Whynter 40-Pint Dehumidifier is equipped with an automatic adjustable humidistat for low-hassle "set it and forget it" operation. Simply set your desired humidity level—we recommend setting it between 45 and 50% for ideal indoor comfort—and the dehumidifier will automatically maintain that level. During operation, the compressor cycles on and off while the fan runs continuously to evenly distribute dehumidified air throughout your space.  The RPD-401W can also be set to dehumidify continuously to eliminate high humidity around the clock.
