Description
The Keystone 8,000 BTU Window Air Conditioner provides cooling for bedrooms, home offices, and any space up to 350 square feet. Its inverter technology is ultra-efficient, earning it an Energy Star rating.
For year-round use, you can select the model with a heat pump for up to 7,000 BTUs of heat to help keep things warm when the weather turns cold.
Energy Star Efficiency
Costing only about $43 per year to operate (cooling) or $53 (with heat pump), this window AC stays comfortably within your budget while keeping you comfortable all year.
Inverter technology controls the motor speed to use only the power necessary to maintain the desired room temperature, avoiding costly compressor start-ups and shut-downs. It also operates more quietly at high speed than similar models, for less noise pollution.
Cooling with or without Heat
Keystone offers two 8,000 BTU window units: one without heat and one with an efficient heat pump. Either model provides all of these operating modes for total comfort no matter what season of the year, or time of day.
- Cool: Use this mode to set the cooling function, using the up/down buttons to select your desired temperature. Select from three fan speeds to stay comfortable.
- Dry: This allows your AC to operate as a dehumidifier, removing up to 1.2 pints per hour. Some degree of cooling will continue; however, fan speed is not adjustable in this mode.
- Auto: When in this mode, cooling or fan-only operation is selected automatically, along with the best fan speed, to maintain your set temperature.
- Fan Only: Just like it sounds, this mode allows you to operate the fan by itself, for a refreshing breeze when days are not so hot, but you need air circulation.
- Eco: When you’re in cool, auto, or dry mode, you can press the ECO button for even more energy savings. This function allows the compressor to run only when cooling, and cycles the fan on/off to test the temperature. When it rises, the compressor turns on for cooling.
- Heat: Set your desired temperature and then select your preferred fan speed for perfect warmth. You can operate the heat in temperatures down to 41° F. (model with heat pump only)
Simple to Install
These Keystone Window Air Conditioners are easy to install and come with a complete window kit. Place it in double-hung windows with these minimum opening and window width parameters.
- Cool Only: Minimum height of 19.5 in. and between 23 and 36 inches wide.
- With Heat: Minimum height of 14.5 in., and between 24 and 38.5 inches wide.
The 6.5-foot power cord is located on the front left-facing side, is fitted with an LCDI plug (NEMA 5-15P), that uses a standard 115V outlet.
Additional Features
- Timer: You can set your AC to automatically start or stop in ½-hour increments up to 10 hours, then in 1-hour increments up to 24 hours.
- Operating Temperatures: This window unit allows you to operate it in cooling mode in temperatures from 69° F up to 109° Fahrenheit. In heat mode, from 41° F to 75° F.
- Washable Air Filter: Access the filter by opening the front panel and pulling it up and out. Wash with warm water and allow to dry thoroughly. You can also vacuum it if you prefer.
- Four-Way Airflow: Adjust the louvers left to right and up and down to send cooling air where you need it.
