Description
The AlorAir Sentinel HD55 Crawlspace Dehumidifier is designed with a smaller, more compact size yet removes up to 53 pints per day at AHAM and up to 113 pints per day at saturation, with a COP of 2.27 L/kWh.
A wide range of applications include not only crawl spaces but also basements, warehouses, offices, apartments, storage areas, and other spaces up to 1,200 sq. ft.
Rugged Durability
The Sentinel HD55 is ETL-listed for safe use and features a metal outer housing to withstand harsh conditions. Equipped with a rugged handle, this compact dehumidifier is easily transported and placed for use in a variety of spaces, operating in an impressive temperature range of 33.8° to 104° Fahrenheit.
This crawlspace dehumidifier is designed with a rare earth alloy tube evaporator, coated coils with a stainless side plate, and an easy-access side-insert MERV 8 filter that can be washed when necessary.
Controls
On-board electronic controls are intuitive and include power on/off, humidity setpoint, and continuous mode, which are simple to use.
- Humidity Setpoint: Set the AlorAir Sentinel’s humidity level as needed with a setpoint range of 36–90% RH.
- Continuous Mode: For continuous operation, simply use the down arrow key to set the humidity below 36% RH, and the unit will run continuously regardless of the humidity level.
- Auto-Defrost Mode: This system automatically removes frost from the coils without pausing the current job.
Indicator lights illuminate to register power, continuous mode use, and auto-defrost operation. There is also a compressor indicator light that glows red when it is warming up and switches to green when it is working.

- Gravity Drain: Designed to drain automatically using gravity, it includes a wrinkle-free tube that can be directed into a PVC pipe for longer draining runs.
- Auto-Diagnosis System: Error codes provide troubleshooting tips for DIY maintenance.
- Auto-Restart: Smart technology remembers your settings in case of a power outage.
- Adjustable Feet/Dual Handles: This allows you to adjust the height and transport the unit wherever it’s needed.
- Washable MERV 8 Filter: Protecting internal components from dust damage, this filter is easily washed when it becomes dirty.
- Built-In Humidity Sensor: Reads ambient temperature and RH in the space and communicates with the optional remote controller.
- Optional Remote Controller: Available for separate purchase, this is a good choice for spaces where remote operation is desired.
- Optional Duct Flanges: These duct mounting flanges can be purchased separately and reduce installation time when connecting to an existing or new system.

it's all a super nice made unit not much plastic all metal because of that i trust it under my crawl space of my house. the ones you get in stores are made of mostly plastic that can burn easily !! when something goes wrong it will burn up under your house !! the one i had i did not like to run it because of all the recalls you hear about that they start fires in homes and the time i had it for three years i think there was only a few hrs. on it because i was scared of fires!! this unit i just love!! thanks i feel good about it. from Dan Schwemer
