Comparing the Hessaire MC37 Evaporative Coolers

Reasonably priced, easy to install, and energy-efficient, the Hessaire evaporative coolers effectively cool down any space by as much as 15 – 20 degrees. Primarily used in areas where humidity is 60% or less, these nifty cooling units are easier to use than air conditioners.

What makes the MC37 models different from each other—aside from the model name? Here is a brief overview of the Hessaire MC37 cooler models with their specific and unique features.

Use the quick links below to jump to a section.

Hessaire MC37V Mobile Evaporative Cooler

The Hessaire MC37V is designed for easier operation while camping, at the park, or while traveling on the RV. Simplistic operation coupled with these features make it an ideal addition to your home.

  • GCFI Plug: The MC37V--as well as all V models in the Hessaire line--feature a ground fault circuit interrupter (GFCI) plug that makes it safe to use in damp conditions or outdoors.
  • Louvers: Vertical interior louvers move left to right, and exterior horizontal louvers can be manually adjusted.
  • Manual Controls: Three manual dials allow you to control the power, swing, and pump controls.

Hessaire MC37M Mobile Evaporative Cooler

Aside from a few of the same characteristics, the Hessaire MC37M mobile evaporative cooler offers a slightly different build and design than that of the MC37V. Design features unique to the MC37M model include:

  • Stationary Palm Grille: Instead of horizontal and vertical louvers, this model features an aesthetically pleasing fixed palm vent design.
  • Louvers: Interior vertical louvers sit behind the stationary palm grille and sweep left to right or can be set to a fixed position for preferred airflow.
  • Manual Controls: Control the power, pump, fan, and the louver oscillation with three manual control dials.

Hessaire MC37A Evaporative Cooler

This three-speed evaporative cooler serves as the fully automatic model, as it features controls not found on the 37V and 37M Hessaire models. If you’re in need of a more fully operational model, check out the Hessaire MC37A

  • Automatic Controls: A fully operational electronic control panel controls the pump, louvers, timer, and power.
  • Digital Screen: An electronic LCD displays the mode or function that corresponds to the control buttons.
  • Timer: Set the timer between 30-minutes to eight-hours in advanced for automatic shut-off.
  • Louvers: Similar to the MC37V model, this cooler features a stationary, manually adjustable horizontal front louvers, while vertical automatic louvers swing left to right with a touch of button.

What They All Have in Common

All Hessaire 37 models cool up to 950-square feet with 1,300 cubic feet of airflow (CFM). All are portable evaporative coolers with the following features in common.

  • Lightweight Design: A 40-pound rotomolded polypropylene resin body provides durability.
  • Utility Top: Store drinks, tools, or your phone on the utility top for easy access.
  • Garden Hose Hook-Up: Continuously fill the water tank with the hose, as it features a garden hose hook-up.
  • Resin-Coated Cooling Media: Resin-coated rigid cooling media is used on three sides. Add fragrances, such as essential oils, to counter any odors from the cooling media.
  • Water Tank Door: Access the water tank and fill with your desired amount of water with the spring-loaded front water tank door.
  • Water Indicator: Keep track of water levels inside the tank with the water level indicator window.
  • Large Water Tank: A 10.3-gallon water reservoir lasts up to three- or four-hours on a manual tank filling. Use the continuous hose hook-up for infinite refilling of the tank.
  • Caster Wheels: Heavy-duty caster wheels make it easier to transport, maneuver, and position on a variety of terrain—indoors and outdoors. Transport on trailers or RVs for camping, outdoor festivals, events, and more.
  • Three-Sided Air Intake: Unlike traditional swamp coolers with one air intake, Hessaire models feature three sided-air intake for more cooling power.
  • Noise Level: This cooler has a decibel rating of 59 dB, which is no louder than a standard conversation.
  • Fan Speeds: Select between three fan speeds-low, medium, and high.
  • Operating Weight: The coolers have an operating weight of 127 – 130-pounds with a full water reservoir.
