Description
Description
Most ceiling fans sit at the speed you last set until you change it. The Haiku watches the room instead, changing its airflow as the people and temperature in the space change. The Haiku line comes in 3 diameters and 4 mount options, including a Low Profile Mount for 8- to 9-foot ceilings and downrods for higher ones.
Each Haiku also includes a dimmable LED downlight with a white finish that matches the fan. Smarter Lighting changes brightness on its own as the daylight shifts. In the Auto Comfort setting, the Smarter Heating and Smarter Cooling modes keep the fan working for you in winter as well as summer.
Key Features and Benefits of the Big Ass Fans Haiku White Smart Ceiling Fan w/ LED Light
- SenseME Sensors: Built-in SenseME technology detects motion, temperature, and humidity, then adjusts the fan so you stay comfortable without reaching for the remote.
- Permanent-Magnet Motor: The permanent-magnet motor runs at less than 35 decibels at max speed, which is quiet enough for bedrooms and offices where you need to focus.
- Aluminum Airfoils: The 3 hand-balanced airfoils are made of aircraft-grade aluminum and move more air without vibration, so the fan stays steady across all 7 speeds.
- Dimmable LED Downlight: The LED downlight produces over 2,000 lumens and has 16 brightness settings, so 1 fixture gives you both room light and airflow.
- Smart Controls: Run the fan and light from the included Bluetooth remote or the Haiku app, and use voice control through Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, or Apple Home via Matter.
- Remote Mounting: The Bluetooth remote works handheld or on the included fixed wall mount, and a magnetic wall holder is also included, so it stays easy to find.
- Comfort Modes: Whoosh Mode varies speed to mimic a natural breeze, while Fan ECO cuts energy use and Sleep Mode saves your overnight settings.
- Scheduling and Rooms: You can set schedules for fan and light modes in the Haiku app, and group several Haiku products in one space so they run together.
- Airflow and Power: Moves 5,084 to 17,747 CFM on 14.6 to 46.6 watts, weighing 15.5 to 26 pounds, so you can match airflow to your room.
- Certified Safety: The fan carries CE and cETLus certifications, so you know it has been tested for safe electrical operation in your home or business.
- Warranty Coverage: Big Ass Fans backs every Haiku for 5 years, so your installation stays protected long after the first summer.
- App Compatibility: The Haiku app runs on iOS 9.0 or later and Android 5.0 or later, so most phones and tablets can control the fan.
Choose Your Diameter and Mount
Pick a diameter (52, 60, or 84 inches) and a mount that matches your ceiling, from the Low Profile Mount to a Universal Mount with a downrod.
- 84-Inch Diameter: This is the largest Haiku, and it suits large open rooms and business spaces.
- 60-Inch Diameter: This mid-size option fits most living spaces.
- 52-Inch Diameter: This is the most compact Haiku, and it suits smaller rooms.
- Low Profile Mount: This mount sits closest to the ceiling, with an overall height of 12.3 inches, for 8- to 9-foot ceilings.
- 12-Inch Downrod Universal Mount: The downrod sets the overall height at 21 inches, for ceilings a little higher than the Low Profile range.
- 20-Inch Downrod Universal Mount: The overall height reaches 29 inches, bringing the airflow closer to where you sit under taller ceilings.
- 32-Inch Downrod Universal Mount: The downrod extends the overall height to 41 inches, the tallest option for high ceilings.
Sylvane's Expert Take
If you want a ceiling fan that adjusts itself, the Haiku is a strong fit for bedrooms and offices where quiet matters. Choose the size for your room first: the 52-inch and 60-inch models cover most homes, and the 84-inch suits large open spaces. Then match the mount to your ceiling, using the Low Profile Mount for 8- to 9-foot ceilings and a downrod for anything taller. Whichever setup you choose, you get SenseME automation, which takes over the speed adjustments you would otherwise make yourself.
