Description
Description
Grime is usually what wears out an industrial fan early. The Big Ass Fans Yellow Jacket 30-In. Indoor/Outdoor Mobile Pedestal Fan works differently: when it gets dirty, you hose it off and put it straight back to work. Its heavy-gauge steel frame sits on a rolling stand, so you can push it to wherever the heat builds up, indoors or out.
You can mount the 10-speed controller on the frame or somewhere else, so the adjustments stay within reach wherever the fan ends up. The fan runs at temperatures from -40 to 122 degrees F, which means it keeps going on freezing winter mornings and through peak summer heat.
Key Features and Benefits of the Big Ass Fans Yellow Jacket 30-In. Indoor/Outdoor Mobile Pedestal Fan
- Long-Reach Airflow: Moves up to 6,919 CFM of air as far as 120 feet, so it reaches workers well beyond the fan's immediate area.
- IPX5 Motor: The IPX5-rated motor stands up to water jets, so you can hose off dust and grime without taking the fan out of service.
- Steel Construction: A heavy-gauge steel frame and 1/8-inch OSHA-compliant steel spiral guards handle industrial knocks while keeping hands away from the blades.
- Progressive Pitch Blades: Polyamide nylon forms the three-dimensional progressive pitch blades, which shape a focused airstream that carries across open floors.
- Locking Rotation: The fan head turns a full 360 degrees and locks in place, so you can aim airflow at a specific workstation or doorway.
- Vibration Dampening: High-density polyethylene housing absorbs vibration and keeps noise to about 80 dB at maximum speed, so long shifts are less tiring.
- Plug-In Power: A 10-foot cord fits any standard 120V outlet, and the 1/2-horsepower motor draws up to 9.8 amps, so you can set up without special wiring.
- Safety Certifications: ETL, CSA, and CE certifications let you deploy the fan with confidence in commercial and industrial facilities.
- High-Visibility Finish: The bright yellow cage, frame, and stand contrast with the black housing, so the fan is easy to spot on busy floors.
- Rolling Stand: An 18-inch wheeled stand lets you roll the fan between bays instead of lifting it.
Planning Floor Space for the Yellow Jacket
The Yellow Jacket measures 21 x 44 x 60-Inches (L x W x H). It needs a clear path about 44 inches wide, so measure your aisles and doorways before you roll it into position. At 200 pounds, it is far easier to roll than to lift, which is why the 18-inch stand matters.
One fan is matched to about 4,800 square feet, which suits a single work bay or one section of a warehouse. On larger floors, plan to place several fans across the space. If floor space is tight, the fan is also wall-mountable, which frees up room on the floor.
Sylvane's Expert Take
If dust and moisture wear your fans out fast in a warehouse or outdoor work area, this fan is made for you. As a directional fan, you aim it at the people who need cooling. Make a hose-down part of your regular cleanup, since the IPX5 rating is what makes that practical. The 120-foot throw and the IPX5 rating are the two features to weigh most, and together they make this fan a strong pick for tough floors.
