Description

Cleaning a busy facility means working around foot traffic, on floors that can be dusty in one aisle and greasy in the next. The Nilfisk SC550 EcoFlex Battery Walk Behind Floor Scrubber handles both from one walk-behind platform. You can turn scrubbing intensity up or down without switching machines, and rechargeable batteries let your crew move through aisles and open areas without looking for an outlet.

Key Features and Benefits of the Nilfisk SC550 EcoFlex Battery Walk Behind Floor Scrubber

EcoFlex System: Nilfisk EcoFlex smart presets let you switch between heavy and light scrubbing, so each floor gets only the water and detergent it needs.
13.2-Gallon Tanks: The solution and recovery tanks each hold up to 13.2 gallons, so you stop less often to refill or empty during a cleaning shift.
Lithium Battery Power: The lithium batteries run up to 3 hours on a single charge, so your crew can clean tight corners and open floors with no cord.
24-Volt Platform: Every deck package runs on the same battery system, so charging and battery care work the same way across the SC550 line.
Touchscreen Controls: A 7-inch touchscreen sits between the handles, and a dial next to it lets you work the controls with gloves on or wet hands.
PIN Access Levels: Personalized PIN codes let you assign each operator one of 4 access levels, plus their own cleaning settings and language, so new staff stay on approved programs.
Noise Level: Depending on the deck, the SC550 is rated at 63 to 65 dB, so your crew can work while offices and stores are open.
Recycled Plastics: Nilfisk pledges to use up to 30 percent post-consumer recycled plastic in the SC550, which lowers the environmental impact of your cleaning program.

Choose Your Scrub Deck Package

The SC550 line comes in 4 scrub deck packages (20D Disc, 20R Rev Orbital, 20CYL Cylindrical, and 24D Dual Disc), and each one has its own brush action and power draw.

SC550 20D Disc Prolene Brush Deck: This deck uses a single 20-inch disc brush at 120 RPM, with brush pressure ranging from 33 to 66 pounds, so you can move from light daily passes to heavier scrubbing. Its 830-watt, 1.1-horsepower motor is the most powerful of the 4 decks.
SC550 20R Rev Orbital Scrub Deck: This deck pairs 2 brushes with an orbital brush speed of 2,250 and 55 to 66 pounds of pressure. Its 560-watt, 0.76-horsepower motor draws the least power of the 4 decks, so it suits operations where power draw matters most.
SC550 20CYL Cylindrical Scrub Deck: This deck spins its cylindrical brush at 600 RPM, 5 times the speed of the disc decks, with 49 pounds of pressure. Its 680-watt, 0.9-horsepower motor gives it a mid-range power draw among the 4 decks.
SC550 24D Dual Disc Prolene Brush Deck: This deck runs a pair of 12-inch disc brushes at 120 RPM to clear a 24-inch path, so you cover more floor with each pass. It applies 49 to 66 pounds of pressure, and its 630-watt, 0.85-horsepower motor has the second-lowest power draw of the 4 decks.

Sylvane's Expert Take

If you run cleaning crews in large commercial or industrial buildings where operators change from shift to shift, the SC550 line fits well. The PIN access levels matter more than they seem at first: they keep each operator on approved settings, which protects the detergent savings EcoFlex gives you. Pick the Dual Disc deck when open floor area is what slows you down, or the Rev Orbital deck when you want the lowest power draw. Every deck comes with the same controls and tanks, so you can choose based on your floors alone.
