Description

The S&P reFresh Low Profile RF8 Air Supply Fan w/ EC Motor brings outdoor air in on a steady basis, so the air in your rooms keeps getting replaced. It comes in 2 configurations: the fan on its own, or the fan paired with an exterior-mounted controller.

You can install it however your space allows. Mounting tabs let the RF8 sit in any orientation, and an integral backdraft damper is built into the housing. The low-profile design is a good fit for tight mechanical spaces, where a bulkier supply fan would make your duct runs harder.

The RF8 Fan w/ EC Motor weighs 17 pounds and uses its electronic, internally mounted speed control. It works well when you set airflow once during commissioning and leave it alone. The RF8 Fan w/ EC Motor & ES24V weighs 18 pounds and includes the Envirosense controller, mounted outside the fan housing. Its back-lit LCD screen shows readings from built-in humidity and temperature sensors, and Eco mode cuts energy use for efficient operation.

If you're a builder or homeowner tightening up a house to meet ASHRAE 62.2, the RF8 gives you code-ready supply air while drawing very little power. It works best in compact mechanical spaces, where any-orientation mounting makes ducting simpler. The standalone model's speed is set at the fan itself, so if you want to adjust it easily or have it respond to humidity, choose the ES24V configuration. Either way, you get the same EC motor and certified performance with every cubic foot of fresh air.
