Info & Guides

Description

Concrete slurry can wreck an ordinary wet vacuum and leaves a gritty film on bare floors. The Husqvarna W70 Wet Slurry Industrial Canister Vacuum was engineered to get it off the floor and out of your way. Its multipurpose design moves with you from grinding and drilling to wall and wire sawing. You can choose a Standard Vacuum or a Vacuum with Pump package, depending on how you plan to empty the tank.

Away from the cutting site, the same machine cleans up oil and machining coolant spills on factory floors. It also handles maintenance cleanup in hospitals or schools, and its rugged build suits rental fleets that see hard daily use.

Key Features and Benefits of the Husqvarna W70 Wet Slurry Industrial Canister Vacuum

  • Strong Airflow: Up to 118 CFM of airflow pulls heavy concrete slurry off bare floors and into the tank, so it doesn't get pushed around.
  • Filter/Float Shut-Off: A patented filter/float system keeps airflow at its maximum and shuts off wet pickup on overfill, protecting your motor from liquid damage.
  • Tank Capacity: The stainless steel container holds up to 15 gallons with a 12-gallon wet capacity, so you stop to empty less often.
  • Bottom Drain Valve: A large bottom valve makes draining and rinsing the canister easier.
  • Included Attachments: A 10-foot crush-proof hose, steel wand, and 14.5-inch floor nozzle let you clear wide stretches of floor with fewer moves.
  • Sealed Filtration: A sealed filtration system with steel clamps keeps the system air-tight, and the wet/dry rating lets it work as a dust extractor.
  • Rugged Build: A galvanized steel dolly and welded frame stand up to being moved between jobsites, backed by a cast aluminum swivel hose lock.
  • Locking Wheels: Puncture-free, non-marking wheels roll easily, and the 2 front wheels lock so the vacuum stays put while you work.
  • Plug-In Power: Runs on 110-120 volt power through a 9-foot cord, so you can plug it into a standard wall outlet.
  • Noise Rating: A maximum noise level of 86 dB means you should plan for hearing protection during long runs in enclosed rooms.

Standard vs. Pump: Choosing Your Package

Your choice of package depends on how you plan to empty the tank: the Standard Vacuum and the Vacuum with Pump suit different drain setups.

  • Standard Vacuum (W70): This version weighs 71 pounds and empties through its bottom drain valve, which works well when you can wheel the tank to a floor drain or a slurry container between passes.
  • Vacuum with Pump (W70 P): This version weighs 90 pounds and has an evacuation pump that moves slurry up to 657 feet horizontally or 33 feet vertically while suction keeps running. An integral stainless steel strainer separates out gravel so it can't damage the pump impeller.

Sylvane's Expert Take

If you run a concrete cutting or grinding crew, the W70 line suits jobs where slurry has to leave the work area. Pick the pump package when the drain is upstairs or across a long slab, since the pump moves slurry while suction keeps running. The standard package is 19 pounds lighter, which helps if you load it into a truck several times a day. In both packages, the float shut-off is what saves the motor on long wet shifts.

Match the package to your drain access, and either one will earn its place on your crew.
