Info & Guides

Description

A built-in fireplace has to look right in the wall you frame around it. The Dimplex Ignite Quest Electric Fireplace recesses fully, so only the black firebox and its flames show. Behind the glass, LED flames move across a loose log set while a ceramic fan-forced heater warms even large rooms.

Flame-only mode lets the fire run without heat, so the fireplace stays the focal point of your room through summer evenings as well as winter nights. Turn on the built-in crackling fire sound and adjust its volume, and the effect goes beyond what you see.

Key Features and Benefits of the Dimplex Ignite Quest Electric Fireplace

  • Multi-Fire LED Flames: Multi-Fire LED technology offers nine flame themes and three ember bed colors, so you can set a classic orange glow or a cooler modern look.
  • Dual-Voltage Heater: The ceramic fan-forced heater runs at 1,500 watts (5,118 BTU) on 120 volts or 2,500 watts (8,530 BTU) on 240 volts, so you can match heat output to your circuit.
  • Room Coverage: Supplemental heat reaches spaces up to 1,000 square feet, which is enough to take the chill off an open-plan living area.
  • Comfort$aver Technology: Comfort$aver energy optimization adjusts heater output, helping you hold a comfortable temperature while using less energy.
  • Flame Connect App: Wi-Fi connectivity and the Flame Connect App let you control the fireplace from your phone, and the included multi-function remote and electronic controls handle in-room adjustments.
  • 8-Hour Timer: The programmable timer switches the fireplace off on schedule, so you can doze off beside it without getting up.
  • Multi-Angle Installation: Fully recessed mounting supports front-facing, bay, left-corner, and right-corner configurations, so you can fit your wall layout without changing models.
  • Plug-In or Hardwired: Plug-in and hardwired power options, with a maximum draw of 12.5 amps on 120 volts or 10.4 amps on 240 volts, let your electrician choose the simplest hookup.

Choose Your Width

The Dimplex Ignite Quest Fireplace comes in four widths (30, 36, 42, and 48 inches) so you can size the firebox to your wall opening.

  • 30-Inch Model: This model measures 30.625 x 17.5 x 36.625 inches (L x W x H) and weighs 203 pounds, which suits a bedroom wall or narrow chase.
  • 36-Inch Model: This model measures 36.625 x 17.5 x 36.625 inches (L x W x H) and weighs 216 pounds, a balanced fit for an average living room wall.
  • 42-Inch Model: This model measures 42.625 x 17.5 x 36.625 inches (L x W x H) and weighs 229 pounds, giving a wider flame view beneath a mounted TV.
  • 48-Inch Model: This model measures 48.625 x 17.5 x 36.625 inches (L x W x H) and weighs 242 pounds, so it can anchor a large media wall or great room.

Sylvane's Expert Take

If you're framing a new media wall or corner hearth and want real heat along with the ambiance, the Dimplex Ignite Quest Electric Fireplace line is a strong option. Every width uses the same heater, so choose your size based on the wall rather than the room. Plan for a 240-volt connection if you want full output, because 120 volts caps the heater at 1,500 watts. The app control and multi-flame settings are features you'll likely use every day.
