Info & Guides

Description

Want a fireplace in a wall that was never built for a chimney? The Modern Flames Landscape Pro Slim Linear Electric Fireplace sits recessed in the wall, so only a clean, flush face shows.

The main appeal is the lighting. Hybrid-FX technology lets you give the flames, ember bed, and downlighting each their own color, so the firebox can glow amber on a winter night or turn cool blue when guests come over. It is available in five sizes up to 96 inches.

Key Features and Benefits of the Modern Flames Landscape Pro Slim Linear Electric Fireplace

  • Hybrid-FX Lighting: Hybrid-FX technology lets you control the flame color and the ember bed color separately, with independent downlighting on top, so you can match any mood.
  • Heater Capacity: A 5,000-BTU PTC ceramic heater adds supplemental warmth, which lets you lower your thermostat and save energy during cold months.
  • Heat Settings: The 1,500-watt heater runs on high or low, or it can switch between the two settings automatically to keep your room comfortable.
  • Full-Function Remote: The remote's color wheel gives you full-spectrum color control, plus fade, sync, and brightness adjustments from across the room.
  • Wi-Fi App Control: You can run the fireplace from your smartphone with the Modern Flames App, so you don't need to track down the remote.
  • Hidden Control Panel: The onboard panel covers heater and flame on/off along with reset, so you can still use basic functions if the remote goes missing.
  • Flicker Speeds: You get 3 flame flickering speeds, from a slow, calm flicker to livelier movement, so the display suits what's happening in the room.
  • Included Media Options: A 7-log hand-painted Canyon Driftwood set ships with clear acrylic stone media and black smoke acrylic crystals, so you can restyle the firebox whenever you like.
  • Flame-Only Mode: The LED flames run without the heater, so you can enjoy the display in warm weather without heating the room.
  • CSA Certified: The fireplace carries CSA certification, an independent safety listing you can show your electrician or inspector.

Choose Your Width

The Modern Flames Landscape Pro comes in five widths, so you can match the fireplace to the needs of your space.

  • 44 Inches: The LPS-4414V2 measures 44.06 x 5.375 x 23.75 inches (L x D x H) and shows 43.625 inches of flame width. To recess it, frame a 44.25 x 6 x 24.125-inch (L x D x H) rough opening.
  • 56 Inches: The LPS-5614V2 has a 55.625-inch flame across a 56.06 x 5.375 x 23.75-inch (L x D x H) body. Flush installation calls for a 56.25 x 6 x 24.125-inch (L x D x H) rough opening.
  • 68 Inches: At 68.06 x 5.375 x 23.75 inches (L x D x H), the LPS-6814V2 has 67.625 inches of flame. Its rough opening should be 68.25 x 6 x 24.125 inches (L x D x H) for a recessed install.
  • 80 Inches: The LPS-8014V2 spans 80.06 x 5.375 x 23.75 inches (L x D x H) and puts out a 79.625-inch flame. Plan for an 80.25 x 6 x 24.125-inch (L x D x H) rough opening to set it into the wall.
  • 96 Inches: The longest model, the LPS-9614V2, measures 96.06 x 5.375 x 23.75 inches (L x D x H) and shows 95.625 inches of flame, so it suits a long feature wall. Recessing it takes a 96.25 x 6 x 24.125-inch (L x D x H) rough opening.

Sylvane's Expert Take

If you're finishing a living room or basement up to 400 square feet and want a fireplace that looks like part of the wall, the Modern Flames Landscape Pro Slim Linear Electric Fireplace is a good fit. The heater is supplemental, so use it to take the chill off and lower your thermostat rather than as your main heat source. The color control is what sets it apart, because the separate zones and the remote's color wheel give you a wide range of looks. Frame the wall for it early, and the finished fireplace will look like it was always there.
